my dad raced baja bugs here with my uncle and one time my aunt was co driver. she had a blast. my mom had all sorts of awesome pictures from way back then when it was open. both parents have passed a long time ago. my mom in 97 when she was only 49 and now I'm going to be 49 exactly 1 month from today. I don't know where any of those pictures are and I can't seem to find anything online of any buggy racing. ok 1 but it wasn't a baja bug. I believe my dad wasna class 11

I had to be about 7 years old when I first seen Rick Johnson race. It was in San Diego where he was from. Raceway 117 off the 905 in Southern San Diego. He was already expert and would race 125 expert 250 expert and the 500 expert. Back to back to back. His mechanic would be on the line with the 250 warming it up while Ricky J just finished smoking the 125 expert class. So as he finishes smoking the 250 expert class his mechanic has his YZ 500 warming up. Also the races were on a Wednesday night. I remember because I had school the next day.

For some reason you took off Sean Collier's Mammoth Mountain Motocross, 30+ Pro 2022. I'm now handicapped, but before that I raced Mammoth since I was a in Jr. High. Sean's 2022 Go Pro video was epic!!! Anyone who's spent time behind a starting gate has had days just like in the video. It brought back a whole lot of memories from racing Mammoth through the years. I wish that you'd put it back on You Tube.

Vacationed in Hawaii about 6 years ago and was on the island of Oahu. Standing in line ordering some food and gentlemen behind me started up a conversation. Said he raced motorcross.......AMA. Oh, what's your name? John DeSoto.......he paused and added.....the Flyin' Hawaiian My jaw drops. Had a nice conversation with him and he shared a few racing stories. Had to be mid to upper 60s and he looked fit. Said he had just finished yoga.
