Great job. I got Bloom a while back, but I'm tracking right now and haven't got to do more than play around with it in breaks. When I start mixing I'm sure I'll use Bloom on some guitar tracks for sure, but I'm going to try it on bass and drums, too.. Cheers!

I have the demo and as you say this the best of the lot. I have tried nearly all of them! Have been working on often terrible quality speech recordings for thirty years and this even beats Cedar the expensive industry standard noise reduction hardware/software . Great real world examples you gave .Thank you !

I'm curious about meta-data for samples....cubase makes an educated guess for the 'definition' of your samples based on sample duration...does it also read tempo meta-data, pitch must also be embedded meta? WAV natively embeds meta-data cross platform, however im not sure about AIFF? Also isn't it time for Cubase to support aac/m4a???

compared to synplant, is this 'better' for drums? synplant is supernice but these seems to sounds nicer on drums? im using mostly microtonic for drums but sound to flat and thin, this sounds thicc, what is your opinion on this?

Question: In a Drum Track, in the Drum Machine, can pads/keys be assigned to different VSTi outputs? Literally asking for a friend lol. Since the Drum Machine is itself the VSTi, I don't think this is possible-outside of using normal MIDI tracks to output to various devices. Thoughts? 🤔

10:33 this is not true. this is not a new behavior, it has always been the case that the range selection tool splits partly selected events. However, I guess the new option makes it possible to disable this behavior so that the range selection tool does not split partly selected events.

Wonderful Video! Could you please tell me how you managed to get the green selection Markers in the Media Bay? In my medially it doesn't show up...Keep making the good work!

I still can't preview audio in the media bay, I know you can turn control room off, but I use control room, so it's not an option, this has been an issue since cubase 12.. Only happens on my Macbook though with an RME audio interface.. Doesn't happen on my old windows pc funnily enough

one thin i have been asking for for a long time, when i creat a midi track, i am left with 2 options only for the input, i can choose all (so all the midi keyboards and controller i have would trigger this track) or i can choose only 1 of them, it would be great to be able to choose more than 1 butt not necessary all of them

I think so. Just go to the display settings at the right top corner and select display of global tracks.

Great vid! I was at first unsure if C14 deserved the full version number-but it DOES! I did a new features livestream on it and said I thought it was x.5 update for veterans, a full version update for noobs. But I take it back now lol. The under-the-hood changes are the most significant since C7. Projects and plugins open lightning fast; everything seems zippier; and the quality of life changes are perfect. I'm on an M1 Mac Studio and the performance boost is incredible. Are you seeing a similar jump on PC?

MediaBay in Cubase is crap. It just stops scanning new, added files and every time you have to scan the hard drive to see new files. Plus this crap does not remember the last selected files in folders, as it is done in Reaper, for example. The best mediabay, if you can call it that, is in Bitwig, which instantly finds everything new and plugins too. Plus, have you tried to mark a piece from a long file in the media bay and add that piece to the project? It's crap and does it with great difficulty.

Love the pattern editor so far, especially the randomizer is probably gonna be amazing for live streaming. Range tool finally works as I've always expected it to. Also like the UI updates, I think it looks cleaner and less overwhelming.

Biggest gripe so far: They changed the plugin loading search so that you now have to TAB 3 times before you can get focus on the plugin names (to use arrow keys or enter). Loathe this! lol

Awesome. Thanks! Just curious though... What color set are you using? It looks better than the factory default
@GreenMusicProductions28 күн бұрын
@@dahlhousestudios Ohh that's weird .. I don't have to press tab at all. I'm on PC and I simply type something and press the down arrow to navigate the plugins. Maybe you could try loading Cubase without preferences ( Hold Ctrl/Cmd-Alt/Opt-Shift while loading Cubase) and see if that solves the issue.

@@GreenMusicProductions Dude. I figured out the down-arrow thing a couple hours AFTER publishing my video complaining about it a couple days ago!😅 So instead of "ruining" a UI feature, as I was stating publicly, they've improved it! Appreciate the tip-you totally would have saved me from madness.

I know this is an old video but this product just sold for $99.00 I found it to be extremely confusing to setup. But I contribute this mostly because I am not a sound expert so for those of you more familiar with working in DAW's will probably have a smaller learning curve.

those „it‘s not perfect“ comments really seem to miss the point. also: playing a sound sample and then telling what it’s supposed to be fits in the same category of unnecessary. i‘m quite sure many people watching this clip actually do have ears.

As a refugee from the idiotic Studio One pricing structure…. Yes! Absolutely! Steinberg don’t EVER go subscription! It is not the ‘way forward’, it is the way of greedy corporates. Cubase all the way. It’s much more rounded, professional DAW. So many pro endorsements.

my problem isn't lack of sounds available
@vvcv__007 ай бұрын
i don't understand your comment regarding the plugin not creating samples that 'sound like' the original sample. I mean, isn't the point to get sounds that 'remind' you of the original sample, however, different enough to where you can use it in the same song/melody without it reminding you of the original sample? Know what i mean.? .. if that made any sense.
@GreenMusicProductions6 ай бұрын
I agree! I prefer getting variations or something similar than something identical. The goal of this video was to throw as many types of samples as possible to see what it was good at recreating and what it wasn't. Not that it's a bad thing to be way off.
