Cubase is the best from all DAWs I've ever used! Most intuitive and time-saving. For the first time I have met the SX2 version and then saw the evolution of it. But 10th version already has onboard everything you need from software in terms of tools, plugins and instruments - and I believe that is the most important feature nowadays! I do use Cubase in mobile recording and on main station as well - alternately, with one dongle. Never have been disappointed at both installations for the last 4 years. Why do I need it? Because I haven't updated since 8th version, due to my own financial situation. Just watched videos about new tools and implementations and was jealous of those who can use already. For sure, it would be great to start use all new features I wrote above xD So, happy birthday, Cubase! And nice work, Steinberg ;-)

Cubase was my first DAW! On Atari 1040 ST back in 1991, and I am still using it for my own home projects.... I hope to win a copy of Cubase because I am forced to work mainly with Protools 12 in the studio (not my decision), but I would like to show my colleges the power of a really smart DAW (Cubase 10)! I started to produce music in 2017 but only with the Fl Studio Trial version where you cant save things. !Only export them. But i have seen Cubase by my friends and so on i downloaded cubase 8. It´s fantastic. The best DAW on Earth. It would be a dream to have the Pro version of Cubase 10.

I have Cubase LE AI Elements 9 that I think came with my Audient id14 that I purchased in late 2017, but I have never used it because I have been using Pro Tools. I was 49 years old when I started using Pro Tools and it's very late in the game for me. However, I was searching for a DAW that would work with another program that I needed in my production of my songs, as Pro Tools had a glitch, and couldn't be fixed since it was a minor issue, but it hindered my use of the program thus rendering it useless. In my search, I came upon Cubase tutorials, and I started watching them, and after viewing a few of them, I feel that Cubase has more of what I need in terms of songwriting elements. For instance, I love the idea of the chord pads, and furthermore, I feel that Cubase will go beyond what Pro Tools has failed to do to keep up with current music production technology. I have been updating Pro Tools, but feel that the updates are lacking to a degree when compared with other DAWS; including Cubase. I am now 57 years old, and all I want to do is produce some of my songs, using a program that is fun and delivers the goods, and helps non-industry artists through that process as easy as possible with results that are satisfactory. I'll have to 'unlearn' Pro Tools, and learn Cubase to continue in that path, and the newest version would really be a nice help to me. With that being said, however, I know that there are other more deserving artists who would love to win this, but I just wanted to share my experience and partly to communicate to the companies who make these products, to really listen to the people using the products, and use all of your power to make good changes happen for the customers.

I'd like Cubase 10 Pro cause it has advanced features which LE version doesn't! More audio channels, sidechain, variaudio, timewrap and other staff that would make my work so much easier! Some times it's so difficult to work with limitattions!

I started using Cubase in 1989 and have continued to use it. I remember proudly lugging the old Atari computer around to gigs in 89-90 and hoping it all worked ok on the night haha. Cubase is almost like part of my identity now! I currently only have version 7. I would LOVE to update to version 10 but unfortunately I became sick and housebound with a neurological disease a few years ago and can no longer work .. so just do not have any money to pay for an upgrade. Writing music and working with Cubase is one of the few things I am still able to do that brings me joy. It's really the one thing that keeps me going. I am so thankful that I am able to still create!!!

i only have a lite version of Cubase and it's limit in some functions. so for producing my own beats and songs I really wish I had a full version it. it would give me so much more opportunities and ideas for my project's. I started with Cubase Audio for the Atari Falcon!! I loved it then as I do now. I would like a free version for my nephew He and his buddies do Hip Hop with a a few lower range DAWs, as well as the upper end Pro Tools. I would love for them to see all of the advantages of this software, and be able to tell each one "I told you so", after they all switch one-by-one to Cubase. Thanks Sebastian for a great channel! I’m using Cubase 8.5 (started with 7) but my dad used Cubase VST back in the day! I remember fondly watching him as a kid sequence midi in Cubase and being amazed. Cubase was my door into music composition; the ability to build a song one line at a time in Cubase allowed me to get the melodies I heard in my head out in the world! If it wasn’t for midi sequencing in Cubase, I doubt I would be a composer and Im still blown away by this process and how far it has progressed. As for my dad, he now uses Logic (boooo!) mainly out of cost considerations. I would love to win so I can give him Cubase and watch him sequence a new song like I did as a kid.

Cubase is the most incredible DAW i've ever used! The most powerfull one! It was the one that made me be passioned from him in the first touch! I'm wanting to use it for film scoring. I originally started on Logic (in college on campus computers) and since I've been out I've been using Reaper. I would use it for working with midi and I think I would work with the audio and mastering in Reaper. The plan always was to get Cubase in the future.

My first Cubase was version 3 while in high school. Sure it was illegal, but it worked! That sucked me into music production. Later on I got Cubase 6.5 with which I still work with, but it's getting outdated and I'm having more and more problems. That's why I'm mostly using Ableton Live at the moment. However, trying out Cubase 10 at a friend made me realise, I had to go back to Cubase. It's SO much better. Getting a copy for free would definitely stop me from having to go to Ableton Live for my music production!

Omg, Cubase pro would be a dream for me. I'm 15 years old and my dream is that one day, I could make a living from composing music. I’m in all the music options that are possible in my school. After a day, I practice my piano from two to four hours on the little piano that is in my music class and when I arrive home, I finally sit in front of my family’s computer and I compose music. I started composing music 5 years ago on an open source program named LMMS and last year, I received Cubase Elements for my birthday. Since that day, I like to compose for orchestras with a little plugin that I bought from various little jobs I did. But, each time, I reach the limit of instruments offered with Cubase Element (28) it is very frustrating because I can’t really follow my ideas. So with Cubase Pro, I could compose without any obstacles and be free with my ideas!

Hi GMP. I work for an autism charity in Edinburgh, Scotland. We support adults with a diagnosis of Aspergers. I've set up a project studio using my own old gear that I've been able to replace over the years (PC, interface are 10 years old, monitors 20 - but it works well enough). This plus some generous donations of a couple of guitars and an amp. Our service is mainly outreach but we have one base with a room that I've utilised for a studio. It's only been running for less than a month and is going amazingly well. All service users really engage in an amazing, rewarding way. We currently have projects of hip hop, black metal, story telling with sound effects and a soudtrack for a video about wrestling. Produced works will be played out on an autism specific radio station based here in Edinburgh. Service users could go on to work at the station if they choose. As we use my old PC it has Cubase 9 Pro on it. But it's my dongle from my home and I'm not always on shift with the guys who would want to make use of this facility (some I see once every four weeks, several others are mostly suported by other staff). There are many more who are supported only by other colleagues who would make use of this too. Some of these other support workers can also supervise and help with the use of Cubase (access can only be for service users during support - this is usially only a few hours a week for each supported person). Cubase has everything within it we need and I've been surprised how newbies with a little direction find creating with it fairly intuitive (very simple steps so far) and just love exploring possibilities and hearing them back - playing in on a midi keyboard, arranging samples and loops and recording their voices. So it would be fantastic if we had a dedicated elicensed cubase always available. There isn't a lot of money in social care in the uk and I know my organistion would not pay for a full version (believe me, variaudio is a significant player with a few of enthusiastic but not quite in tune guys). This project could grow and I'd love to see it provide opportunity for other services in our organistion but right now it's something I've initiated and put my time into (with my management's sanction and approval). Very thankful for the opportunity! From a technical standpoint I think I would be able to take my productions to the next level. Because of features from Cubase such as chord tracks and being able to activate and deactivate tracks for saving RAM, that way I am able to make big orchestral templates for a good workflow. As a music student I don't have huge amounts of money over for sample libraries so the stock instruments in cubase could really bring more to the table for me. My first DAW was Cubase 5. After a few years of using that I started to branch out and use numerous other daws, including the newest versions of Ableton and FL studio. It's funny though - after all my years of using Cubase 5, and even when I cheated on it recently, I've always found my way back home. I'm sorry for cheating on you Cubase, but please know that in my eyes, despite its age, Cubase 5 is still better than the newest daws. I'd love to give 10 a go

I found out about your channel from Steinberg's Twitter feed...pretty cool stuff man! I don't have any witty reasons as to why I want to win, but it would be fantastic if I did win! Been a longtime user of Steinberg as well, having used Cubase since the SE version, Nuendo since version 2, currently have Cubase 5.5.3 on a 8 core Mac Pro 5,1 because it's still on Snow Leopard, and running Cubase 10 Elements on a Macbook Pro because it's the highest version you can run without an e-licenser taking up a precious USB port. Planning to upgrade my Mac Pro's OS so I can run Cubase 10 Pro. I'm excited about VariAudio 3, but just wondering if UAD Autotune Realtime Advanced would be a better choice? Anyways, keep up the great content!
