I’m happy that you feel proud about being American. I’m Italian but I have Chinese parents. Im proud about being Italian but very very ashamed about being partly Chinese, mostly because of the horrible things and the politics in China
@MrAntonychong2 жыл бұрын
You have been brainwashed, Monica. No doubt China is not perfect. So are the developed world. Why are you ashamed when China was able to walk away from the age of humiliation in the past? Do you think many human rights record will be able to keep the peace in China? Do u honestly think the West are really saints in their record of human rights? There are no utopian society. So don't be misled. China is able to retain her continuous civilization and unbroken history not because she has good human rights record. She is thriving because of the authoritarian governance from the dawn of history. Learn Chinese history. Maybe you will understand why the current govt are doing what they are doing. Otherwise, you will always be in the square mind of the West because of the news you have been fed. Learn to be balanced.
@Serenity272 жыл бұрын
@@MrAntonychong “Brainwashed” is a bit too far. But either way I’ve learned China’s history and my mother and I had a discussion not too long ago about this topic and the main reason I’m ashamed of being Chinese are all the bad rumors/facts. As a very shy and sensitive person when people ask me ,for example “is it true that you eat dogs”, I feel very sad, disappointed and especially ashamed. My mother told me they aren’t real and I trust her but because I grow up with people always saying this, you can say “I grew distant from China traditions and history and all”. Forgive me for my grammar mistakes as I’m not English but Italian. I may also feel this way because I’m going through a phase where my life is slowly changing

Are you kidding? Do you know what the figure skating scoring system is? His technical base scores were already at least 10 points higher than the 3 Japanese's. And he didn't make any mistakes while all three Japanese made mistakes which gave him more bonus points also.
@christina-fe8lu2 жыл бұрын
this comment SCREAMS not knowing how figure skating works. it's not just abt looking pretty or whatever its abt the technical difficulty and execution of jumps + a whole range of other stuff i'd rather not get into. nathan's base scores were waaaay higher than shoma and yuma's

I know nothing about figure skating. The evidence of how great Chen’s performance was was on display for the world to see!
@qidongxu73392 жыл бұрын
@@alex-pash6434 Yes, I was watching on TV. Actually I meant "major" mistakes. Nathan's mistakes were minor which only costed him 1 or 2 points deduction from the base scores. But the Japanese's mistakes were major which costed them 6 or 7 points deductions from base scores.
@MagicalKid2 жыл бұрын
@@christina-fe8lu uh, actually 'looking pretty' matters too that's why there's the presentation score. The skater is also scored in artistry and musicality. But you're right in saying his technical score is miles ahead of the rest.
