@@forquan i can see how you hear that but if you can hear the woman in the background asks “where are you going?” To which he responds “I need to get something.” Responding with “don’t bring that stuff” wouldn’t really make sense. The way he says 我需要 does sound quite similar to 不需要 though.

I’m happy that you feel proud about being American. I’m Italian but I have Chinese parents. Im proud about being Italian but very very ashamed about being partly Chinese, mostly because of the horrible things and the politics in China
@MrAntonychong
@MrAntonychong 2 жыл бұрын
You have been brainwashed, Monica. No doubt China is not perfect. So are the developed world. Why are you ashamed when China was able to walk away from the age of humiliation in the past? Do you think many human rights record will be able to keep the peace in China? Do u honestly think the West are really saints in their record of human rights? There are no utopian society. So don't be misled. China is able to retain her continuous civilization and unbroken history not because she has good human rights record. She is thriving because of the authoritarian governance from the dawn of history. Learn Chinese history. Maybe you will understand why the current govt are doing what they are doing. Otherwise, you will always be in the square mind of the West because of the news you have been fed. Learn to be balanced.

@Serenity27 2 жыл бұрын
@@MrAntonychong “Brainwashed” is a bit too far. But either way I’ve learned China’s history and my mother and I had a discussion not too long ago about this topic and the main reason I’m ashamed of being Chinese are all the bad rumors/facts. As a very shy and sensitive person when people ask me ,for example “is it true that you eat dogs”, I feel very sad, disappointed and especially ashamed. My mother told me they aren’t real and I trust her but because I grow up with people always saying this, you can say “I grew distant from China traditions and history and all”. Forgive me for my grammar mistakes as I’m not English but Italian. I may also feel this way because I’m going through a phase where my life is slowly changing
