Amazingly the best and worst thing they ever did was fire Isbell. Allowed him to become who he is today, but also cut the band short during there peak period. Rock and roll giveth and taketh away

One of the things I definitely miss about them being a 4 piece band was seeing Chris and/or Ben change instruments mid song so seamlessly. I was blown away by how they did that so well when I saw them live

who the fuck gave john mcenroe a show, typical 2000's hollywood, give every vanilla schmuck a chance before a POC

Long time ago there was a store called Borders and they'd have endcaps where you'd put on headphones and could listen to random CDs. I was in high school and I just randomly was able to listen to this album while standing in a store aisle and I just distinctly remember being floored by this song and its concept. Been a fan ever since. 20 years ago?
@michaelgeller15382 жыл бұрын
You just evoked a deep memory of the music in borders. Thanks
@SleepyT23 Жыл бұрын
so bizarre to me still to think that we have to tell the future folks about things like borders etc where you could just go listen to music before you bought it lol

Without Chris they are still awesome, but man it doesn’t beat this. Saw them in San Diego in 05, and my jaw drop that’s how good they were.

Asphalt Meadows is a real return to form, best since Narrow Stairs imo. But Walla's influence is definitely missed.

@@kenmasters1803I felt like Thank You For Today was the return to form. Either way, I didn’t like Codes And Keys, and Kintsugi was just eh for me, but I love the last two
