2:13 I am a member of this club, and I was at the controls of this Big Boy. Don't know if you saw it, but it was stopped because, most likely, the signal right in front of it was red and then went yellow. We are slowly building a signal system on the layout, with most of 1 main line finished. Thanks for visiting us when Big Boy came to town, and feel free to come around again any time!

@@heckingaxle6618 WRONG! Willian Kratsville did extensive research on the Big Boy for his book from actual Union Pacific documented tests. I have found the same style cemetery marker stones without dates at the Yountville Veteran's cemetery and the Presidio. I suspect the markers are generic and placed to cover the structures that lie beneath. Same as with the golf course that covers the bunker network.

Hamilton was the preferred West Coast base to be assigned. It was beautiful when there were hundreds of airmen to keep it maintained. The flight of B-17's that landed at Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941 flew from Hamilton. Great memories of airshows every year. The hangers were used in dozens of movies locations. Indiana Jones, The Right Stuff and many commercials.
