My 798 HD Si has a leaking transducer. I contacted support, and basically, they told me they will sell me a replacement. Undamaged transducers should never ever leak. Everytime I ask humminbird for support, they ask me for money. Stay away from Humminbird, Minnkota and Johnson. My friends have Garmin and they love them and their support. I'm dumping this crap and going to Garmin.

same thing just happened to my helix 7 at first when i reached out to them. they sent me a link to a new one,,, i had to reply stating that my 15 year old Lowrance transducer was still perfect. and that it as probably the last time i use hummingbird,,,, they replied with a apology and will send me a new transducer...Impressed!

Ahh good to see another navy Jack Tarr here. 31 year veteran Aussie navy. Have a garage full of mercury outboards I am refurbishing and this is a godsend for me. Just repainted an ex Aussie army poly boat with a 25hp sea pro on it. Runs perfectly due to the anal army maintenance schedules but the poly boat will need a paint as the original colour has faded from cherry red to dog dick pink. Navy jokes will be inbound….at least I can be easily seen if I get in the shit on the water but a bonus is no one will want to borrow the thing. When the paint cures I will give this a go. Keep in touch shipmate.

@vistkri6 ай бұрын
@@FerenzeeBlazingReaprthen I would try wetsand 1500 - 2500 - 3000 and then clearcoat in again. If spray can I would highly recommed 2K spraymax clear coat, nothing else. The shine in 2K is insane to be a spraycan. Otherwise I would spray it in a gun. All other 1k regular clearcoat spraycans is garbage and waste of money. Wouldnt even buffed it lol.
@vistkri6 ай бұрын
@@FerenzeeBlazingReaprI do not 100% know what you mean with cloudy? If its matt after sanding is totaly normal. If its orange peely I would still sand it like I said above and then clear coat it. Just bad spraypaint job I guess.
