I ate so many of these when I was in Japan. The craving hasn't gone away, so thanks for the recipe!

Oh my gosh, cream puffs in Japan hit different. I think to make the filling more like Japanese ones change the ratio of whipped cream to pastry cream from 1:1 to 1:2. So 1 part whipped cream to 2 parts pastry cream. I don’t think they usually fill it with diplomat cream, it’s more custardy/pastry cream based! Let me know how that goes!! Thank you for watching 💖

They did a great job with the anime! Highly recommend especially if you’re just wanting short episodes. I definitely will do more recipes from this anime/manga!

Hey just wanted to comment, I was watching this yesterday and was inspired to try to step it up a notch for the annual Father's Day steak dinner today- got some top sirloin steaks ( a tasty cut but somewhat on the less tender side ) and this recipe not only helped make them less chewy but also the sauce REALLY brought out the flavors in the meat! Can't say how the rice would be since I couldn't find umeboshi for this round but I'll bet it would be amazing! Thank you for posting the recipe!

This is how you are inspired. Watching Japanime and knowing it can be practically done, and you find that despite the exaggeration, the idea behind Japanime comes from real life logic and practicality. Love Japanime and I love this channel. Please don't stop doing what you're so awesome at. You have a fan in me now. 💖✌🏻💖

If you make dashi yourself, you can use the konbu and katsuobushi flakes to make your own furikake by finely chopping the konbu and katsuobushi, then adding it to a pan with soy sauce, sugar, and sesame seeds. Cook on low until all the liquid is cooked out. Or something thereabouts.
@MiJuKitchen23 күн бұрын

Ever use actual goat-butter to fry the onions?
@MiJuKitchen27 күн бұрын
I haven't! I'm not sure where I can find goat butter locally, it's not very common here! I'm sure it would be delicious though!

Lovely Video, You tried and succeeded in doing a very tough version of omurice, the split in middle omelette. Good Work. I will stick to the simple one, for the lack of skill.

Thank you! It was a lot harder than I expected 😂 so much respect to the Omurice masters.

Mmhm mhmm good recipe... Where's the part where your clothes explode off? It like you don't even get the appeal of the series.

Lol this is a food channel not a porn channel! So many other huge and famous creators make recipes from this anime without showing the ecchi content as well. Thanks for stopping by but we will never show the ecchi content.

looks so yummy! Can I fry the chicken on pan instead?
@MiJuKitchenАй бұрын
Yes you can! I would use a small pot with tall walls and use 2-3 inches of oil (pure canola or pure peanut oil) to fry the chicken! You could even use a large sauté pan with curved walls if you want to shallow fry!

Thank you for watching! I’m not sure if chicken will work for this dish with the red wine demi. If you try it let me know how it goes! I think if you did do chicken though definitely use dark meat or maybe the chicken leg quarters or an airline chicken breast!
