Games are meant to be played, not hoarded or sold off at exorbitant prices. The level of greed in magic in particular both by wotc and the secondary market disgusts and upsets me to my core. It's pathetic and heart breaking to see what card games have devolved into and I can only hope it all burns to the ground soon.

The player in me understands your stance. The collector in me appreciates these rare items. I'm happy that Magic supports both. Indeed, I can't offer much solace to the vintage or competitive commander player who needs to acquire what I consider collectibles to play their game. I'm personally happy to play arena draft for nearly free and enjoy collecting my rarer items. I'm sorry us collectors' enjoyment is causing you heart ache. The only advice I can offer, which might not be satisfactory, is to try to engage in a format that might better suit your liking -- perhaps pauper.

I have a starter deck of Wyvern that I found the other day. Having a hard time finding a way to determine if they are of any value... thinking probably not worth much.

My box sold for $200 but it was an entire box. I see many of the decks going for $10-20 range, but I'm not an expert on these cards.

So, you spent between 300 to 400$ on a worthless searched boosters that were clearly searched but cope about how "it might have been searched in the 90ies, some cards still rose in value in the meanwhile, but I will never open it anyways!". This sums up the sealed MTG investment mindset in so many ways. This whole thing was kickstarted by a guy who openly tells his audience they are dumb and retarded, and everyone plays a game of schrödinger's hot potatoes: as long as no one opens the vintage sealed in circulation it is both in a state of existence and non existence, so that everyone can pretend it is real and keep the imaginary price up. We've now reached a point where obviously searched boosters are now considered a valuable investment. I wish I could make this shit up.

Do recognize there are people out there who make money with MTG investment. There are also plenty of people who lose money. I always preach that it's only for people who are already financially established. I do think people who get involved with this hobby also need to appreciate collecting sealed product (and not just cards). I guess you can say I enjoy the game of schrodinger's hot potatoes. But there are definitely people who enjoy opening vintage sealed product as well. For me, once the cat's out of the bag--dead or alive--I lose interest.

You had mentioned that the linear solenoid may cause shifting up or down problems. Have you or anybody else confirmed that's what it is? The problem I'm having, there's a delay on the up shift, then I won't shift down and it acts very droggy, as if I'm starting off in a higher gear, or it (very rarel) just slips. it will work fine for a short while, if I shut the van off then restart it.

100% agree, I’ve read the whole Thran all the way to Apocalypse cycle, but THE BEST and always best MTG book of all time will always be Arena as a standalone. It just captures the wizards and 5 colors, it’s a great story, and is like Gladiator with mages.

I bought the Garth One-Eye card solely for my love of the Arena book. You're far ahead of me on reading the books. I did The Thran followed by Brothers War. I'm thiking of either The Gathering Dark or The Colors of Magic next. Any recommendations?
