its also the reason Lennox got KO twice from counter over hand rights.

Headbutts and elbows are dirty in comparison to illegal framing. Boxing needs to evolve and change their rules or deal with the declining fans. It’s not a fair fight in there. Pro Boxing has a 50% Referee problem. 20% judges problem. And 30% Rules and regulations problems, issues.

Interesting input by Lennox. The jab indeed travels faster when you have your front hand a bit out as supposed to being close to your facial area. Many all-time greats use this style of guard from Cuban boxers to Russian boxers, the list goes on.
@Blkwlf892 күн бұрын
The way you're telling people to throw the jab is going to get you countered right over the top. You're getting stuck on the front foot after making contact, in which your head will be easy to find because you never move off of the line. Mixing in feints and using the jab to gather information before committing your weight on the front foot. Not until you create an opening. Your head never moves before, while, and after punching in your videos. That's the real mistake man.
@RingReadyBoxing_2 күн бұрын
@@Blkwlf89 mate this video is purely for helping beginners avoiding jab mistakes. Exactly what you just said is what I teach all the time but it’s not what the aim of this video was. The more I watch different fighters from all disciplines the more I think there isn't a "wrong" way to do many techniques; there are tradeoffs and the pros understand what these are and exercise their judgement instead of blindly following convention for it's own sake. In his case he's got a huge reach; maybe beating others to the punch offsets the defensive advantages of retracting the left arm.

This video complete wrong. That's why you're suppose to circle the bag. The bag is suppose to swing while you control the bag with punches and circling the bag to create angles. This beginner guide will get you knocked out. You should never be standing right in front of the bag without footowrk.
@RingReadyBoxing_4 күн бұрын
@@Blkwlf89 not all beginners know how to move left and right efficiently mate. I’m not saying just stand in front of your opponent as that is not useful. Beginners can practice basic drills with the bag before being great at lateral movement. Not everyone is a pro.
