Thank you for your question. It's been quite a while since I last worked on that specific refrigerator model. Generally speaking, though, refrigerators either have a defrost timer or an adaptive defrost control board. These components help manage the defrost cycle automatically, typically a few times per day. I hope this information helps!

I think you are chasing a ghost so to speak. I am former owner and tech for HD trucks and also furnace and stoves. I recently had a service call on my GE dishwasher and had found problem before he arrived. These units operate in a high humidity environment and pins are subject to micro corrosion due to that. The harness to the UI is nothing but a low voltage, powered datalink to accept commands from the UI going to the main board. Here is your explanation. Those corrosions occur on the push on connectors going to the pins. I had this same problem solved in OTR semi trucks by removing all the data links connectors and putting dielectric grease in all. Then pushing them on and off board 5 times. Never another problem. I just took apart my 5 yo GE and checked the power connector. Guess what, no grease. The tech said he put some on. He lied. Neither the power or data link had any on them. Low voltage can’t push thru corroded connections Very poor design on GE’s part as the fan exit is on bottom of the door and the board is on the bottom of the main housing, just 12 inches from the fan outlet.

This absolutely worked on my DW, I had purchased some grease earlier for the lower connections. after taking out the UI board and using some grease along with the connecting and disconnecting the plus a few times the UI board display came on and the washer started working

To put 3 way valve into home position you have plug the unit up for 7 seconds then unplug it. Or maybe that's samsung I'm thinking about

Hello my brother benni from south africa i had i semilar problem where i ended up inserting a conder at the back of the fridge lg double door .this 3 way valve are problem.i even had to buy a new 3 way valve. I guess we lesrn from our mistakes being a technician its not a child play as this profession needs time and dedication .

Genius. She was over weighted on one side. Had the same problem moments ago. Adjusted the load and how it was sitting and it immediately fixed the problem. For anyone dealing with the same problem STOP overloading your appliances. I haven't worked a day in my life on any home appliance didn't know what was wrong and it made me wonder why was this happening? I thought simple too much weight on one side it was a physics issue of any of you know there is a reason they tell you where to go on an amusement park ride and what the weight limit or minimum height is, the reason why the do that is due to safety if anything is even slightly out of regulation they won't let you ride. I thought the same and came too the conclusion that if a top were to spin heavy enough on one side at a fast enough speed it would spin itself in a dominant direction no matter how many times you spun it it would almost launch itself forward in the side that was heavy so I decided to determine what side was mostly overweight and redistribute the weight as evenly as possible. I am no scientist and I actually don't even have a diploma but I hope this helps sorry if it comes a bit late but this is probably the definitive answer many are/we're looking for. Have a nice day ☺️ Edit: There are reasons why there is a weight limit to an elevator. This was a true Scorpion meets Numbers assessment and solution moment with explanation and I feel I learned something that I failed to teach myself sooner 😅

A very helpful tip to extend the life of the compressor is to add 50ml of water to the compressor before regassing. This will cool the compressor
