Thank you very much. Being a learner of harmonica, this question was haunting me. Wth my verylittle knowledge., I think in indian music beatification between notes produces melody in addion to notes combiation and western music render melodies by other means. Harmonica ,being a western eqiupment, has this limatations. Probably it is better suited for songs having Waltz bits or western inspierd songs. Never the less , Harmonicas sound is very sweet to ear and my opinion is, this will be its attraction as long as misuic is there. Sing sahab would you please clarify my other quest. We know bollywood songs and regional songs are best played on C sacle Harmonica. But say a song (Chup hai dharti, chup hai chand sitare ...by Hemant kumar) and song (age bhi janena tu..)sung by Asha ji give scope to play on two different sacle to make them hear more melodious even on two differnt type harmonicas if notation permits.. At least for experimentation.
