I found it interesting that at the beginning you spoke of how many fatal falls were due to using ladders, and yet you used a ladder to climb onto the platform.

I've got a grasshopper 220 with the box on the back of the actual mower but it CONSTANTLY clogs at the deck. Any suggestions?

Last year I bought a DR leaf vac early cyclone model with hard case, l love it l can do my yard in 5 hours that took me several days before.

Just saw this video. My impeller is shot, did not bend. It is broken down to the hub...The new impeller is $169. Yikes. My unit is over 15 years old but not used enough for the impeller to shred away...does anyone know if they make a metal one?

Thank you for the video. I'm trying to find something to cut the weeds in a 4' - 6' wide ditch. The sides of the ditch are at a 45 to 60 degree angle. The ditch depth varies from about 1 foot to 3 feet. I can bush hog the bottom of the wider portion, but I can't get the side slopes. The ditch is 600 feet long and I've been using a handheld stihl r131 weed eater with a brush blade. I'm 67, and it's starting to wear me out. Would this thing do the side slopes?

I think you need to fix that hole in the top so you don't have so much dust flying around.

You always need a ballast on the rear 3 point when working the fel.

Actually one does not have to remove any of the side panels to access the oil filter. I change my bx oil without removing any panels. There is a cut out which allows access to the filter. Also pre fill is not at all necessary. If fact it can do damage to the engine. Just Google it an see for yourself. Caterpillar recommends to not pre fill filters. That practice is left over from days gone by.

I just got the stuff for my maintenance I could not believe how much price increase it was. It was 500 in materials for my machine. Not sure what to do on that plug. Maybe weld a pry bar of sorts to apply pressure out as you turn it. Drilling may put shavings in the axle. I guess you could vacuum the shavings out. Good hearing your voice and seeing a video from you. I wear my o&d life shirt a lot but it’s nearly wore out.lol😊

I have 25 hours on mine, dug a 600' trench on very steep uneven ground. Getting on and off and rotating the seat has been the only real difficulty. I'm mindful of the pinch points and bumping the control levers. I'm happy to hear you didn't get severely hurt. The BX is small and cute but don't think it's any less dangerous than a larger tractor.

People like to poopoo on this device but I’m a spine surgeon and I’ve seen so many paralyzed people from ladder injuries. I’d trust this more than any ladder and am ordering one myself. The caveat for me is I’m adding a plywood floor and reinforcing all of the wall corners with chain or cable. I’ll also use chain to secure it to my pallet forks. I’m getting the one on casters and do not intend on folding it up once set up. I may also reinforce the welds but we will see.

Wow so you are telling me I can slip the clutch by hand? Will that get rid of whatever might be causing the clutches to sieze or bind up? I am going to come back here if anyone can answer this question, I saved this video to watch later. Also if you can slip the clutch by hand, just think of the time and effort of not having to get on and off the tractor, start the tractor up, put on the brake etc....

Looks lik a pain in the ass to use . It needs an adjustable skid plate or wheel directly under the center so you can't bury it and scalp the grass

Working at a mower shop I was surprised when Cyclones came in for repair and learning the had plastic impellers. Don’t know if they all are plastic but that was the models we worked on.
