I sat in Vincent Cichowicz’s living room playing these. Didn’t sound quite the same…😂

ich denke mir, grauenhafte gesichtsausdruecke, furchtbar, schrecklich und abstossend, und gespielt ist es auch nicht besonders

Oh this is beyond beautiful. I'm so thankful that this masterpiece of music and performance has been presented to me. Listening to these notes transcends me to another world of nature, spring, breeze, belonging, freedom and peace, art and culture, the world I imagined to live. It inspires me to try to make that life I miss so much and long for. 🌄🌳

I so enjoyed learning this piece when I was in college. I thought my teacher was crazy when I looked at all those notes. But she wouldn't let me choose anything easier. Lol.

I love the pure, focused color of Miilmann’s sound. It’s not as fat of a sound but it has a wonderful quality to it. Pahud’s tone is virile and robust, Miilmann’s is delicate and enchanting. Miilmann has excellent breath control and can play long phrases- her Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun is all in one breath and incredibly beautiful. Her Daphnis et Chloe is my favorite. Utterly sensitive playing.

Wow, absolutely heavenly! The beauty of this performance is just incredible. In particular, as soon as I heard the first note on Miilmann's flute, I felt her breath and phrasing in the rhythm, and I was thrilled to sense Rampal's presence once again. I've been a fan of Rampal's flute for over 40 years because he played with such spirit and heart. Since he passed away, I haven't come across any flutist quite like him. However, today I rediscovered that magic. I can feel the spirit and heartful melodies in every single note. So grateful for your music!

Il bianco e nero, la sofferenza nel viso di Sergio, il Gesù cristo in croce che dice: “dio mio perché mi hai abbandonato”, il “crocifixus”, il “something strong in my opinion, is religione” tutto in questo video è poesia.

I get the metaphor and all, but I've never understood why so many teachers say the metaphor without the point, which was play louder but still let the piano lines through
