Excited for Romancing Saga 2 and Metaphor. I had Dragon Quest (Warrior) 3 on the GB Color back in the day. That was a hard game lol

Also I want to like Fantasian Neo Dimension given Uematsu and Sakaguchi's involvement but that game looks ugly AF

Visions of Mana is one of my game picks that I'm gonna play.

Berserker is way better than you gave it credit for, and Monk scales through the entire game, it's never a bad class. I like to have one knight and one Monk, get Two Handed and Unarmed, train them as berserkers with the two handed knight ability and the unarmed monk ability until I get Ninjas, then set up my dual wield ninja's with Berserk. There are very few bosses where a melee attacker set up in this way wont dominate, and just going through dungeons it's optimal as you'll spam attack anyway.

Definite yes on Metaphor, Ys and Fantasian, maybe on the rest but I don't have a switch so none of those. Also excited for Trails Through Daybreak

I kinda wish someone would do a fun, end-game tier list for the DS version…that list WOULD possibly look a bit different…Magus gets a MUCH better weapon, and Ayla gets a new accessory that gives a crit boost plus a counter attack chance, and Marle gets a decent weapon that always does 777 damage….plus all girls and boys get new gender locked armor/accessories…………but the absolute, most busted thing from the remake BY FAR is a piece of armor of all things, for Lucca of all people, it nullifies ALL ELEMENTAL DAMAGE!! Like, I can’t stress how OP that is, Lucca can take a frickin nap while fighting the super boss Spekkio!!! Idk what that entire tier list looks like, except for the fact that Lucca would be at the very top. The armor is a pain in the ass to get, but damn its so broken…whoever was over the DS remake must’ve been a big Lucca fan haha

Trails Through Daybreak in July, Visions of Mana in August, Zelda Echoes of Wisdom in September, Metaphor ReFantazio in October, Dragon Quest III Remake in November, Ys X Nordics sometime in the Fall, Fantasian New Dimension towards the end of the year (finally out of Apple Arcade jail, hooray), Decapolice if it's still actually coming out in 2024, and the Suikoden 1+2 Remasters if they're actually coming out this year (who knows at this point though, since we've heard nothing for a long time on them) are my JRPG picks for the rest of the year. Some other non-JRPG stuff I've got my eye on too are Master Detective Archives:Rain Code on PS5 in October, Assassin's Creed Shadows in November (I have this weird soft spot for AC for some reason), and Dragon Age: The Veilguard (doing a wait-and-see on this one, but hoping it will be decent). 2025 for now, Armed Fantasia and Penny Blood are at the top of my list, but the Dragon Quest 1+2 Remakes are up there. Some other non-JRPG stuff I'm also looking forward to are that The Hundred Line Last Defense Academy (from the same team who did Danganronpa, which I've all loved), Grand Theft Auto 6 (yeah I know, but Rockstar's track record has been fantastic, and they make banger games), and maybe a Front Mission 2 Remake physical version in there somewhere, similar to what happened for the remake of the first one. I'd also love to hear some news around Dragon Quest XII, Front Mission 3 Remake, and the Trails Through Daybreak II North American release (we might be getting news on this at Anime Expo here in a few weeks in early July though, fingers crossed). Lots to be excited about for sure, and I'll be there for them!

Being an Dragon Quest fan is like the best thing I've ever did. Thanks to DQ8 & DQ11, I'm hunger to play more games. I hope DQ3 Remake; along with 1 & 2 Remake that will be released next year, would do well. I would like an 2D-HD Remake of 4-6, an remake of 9, given DQ10 localized, DQ12, etc. All I want that they take care of Dragon Quest well and getting these games into more recognition in the west as much as they can.

I just want the same exact game but with modern graphics. A remaster is awesome but if we could just get graphics from 2024 I think that would bring this generation into its fandom and would usher in a new era of FFT lovers!

I really hope this puts people on to how great this game is. It's perfectly balanced. The progression is perfect. The story isn't a 20 hr indie game but also isn't 120 hrs. Its not complex but not simple either. The class combinations made this so replayable and I cannot wait to see what else they've cooked up for this remake

I understand people that feel Symphonia is overrated but it has just straight up better writing, better dungeons, better character development, better gear progression, and better replayability than half of the ones placed above it.

I am so excited to purchase Dragon Quest 3 HD 2d because I bought the generic version for the Nintendo switch and it just seems really dull when playing it. I think it might be the art style, I'm not really sure. I think maybe if they had made it like they did with dragon quest five for the ds, maybe that would have piqued my interest 🤔 more.

I know that this video is old and all. I find Mediator or Orator is more of a troll class for fun. Just to annoy your enemy by waste their turn often. Or turn their own human friend against them for silly reason and take thier stuff after word. Only few reason why Mediator or Orator feel bad to use is. Those class rely on having more magic attack statics to increase their accuracy. In other word low magic base attack will make speak skill more likely to miss in early game.

Damn disappointing that they put extra rare in game items in a $200+ version. Not everybody wants to pay for all that extra stuff in the box. $60 for the base game is bad enough (although after seeing gameplay videos I can see why it's$60!). I'm on a fixed income, the boxed version is as much as my rent! Sheesh some of us older fans are old and disabled! 😢
