I imagine it would be really hard to focus as well if you have to keep your fingers stable in order to maintain that focus... you can't tilt it and leave it in place it looks like you have to hold it or it moves back on its own

Ok-I REALLY want to learn to take videos like this!!! I am so lost when it comes to filming on my DSLR Sony camera. No clue what settings to use or how to edit. Ugh. The struggle!!

Beautiful shots, Hannah! I love how you manage to tell your story calmly and create such a relaxed atmosphere. To me, this really stands out compared to all the shouting we get on KZbin. 😅 Keep em coming, I’d love to see more! 💪

Did you shoot in AF for all photos? Some wide shots look really clear w no blur (5:50, 6:26, 9:50), curious if some of these were in the infinity mode? Also the window picture 3:15 and rocks in water 9:30 were those in manual or AF?? I read in the Contax T2 manual those type of situations would best be used in manual since its hard for the camera to focus. I just bought the T2 and trying to really get dialed in w it hahaha You seem like a wiz with this camera!!

Love this lens . . . more versatile than most people give it credit for. Little tip to make it even better . . . ditch the stock lens foot and purchase the 'Really Right Stuff' lens foot, then pick up a Magpul MS4 Camera / Rifle sling. It makes the user experience of toting this lens around soooo much better, and it's quick, easy, and super convenient . . . plus it's VERY secure. Money well spent.

The Contax T2 actually does have manual focus... The only thing you cannot control is shutter speed, and F2.8 is only open for low-light conditions, otherwise the F2.8 setting is an "automatic" mode.

3:15 I shoot Nikon Z & I needed to manually change my LrC settings to apply my camera's settings upon import. & then from there, I still have to go into the Profile tab & click "browse" to pull up other options: Standard, Neutral, Flat, Landscape, Monochrome etc -- that are native to my in-camera profiles. ^^You can choose your favorite setting & have Lightroom apply automatically. But I don't do this, as every image is different & I shoot a variety of genres.

Another great video, and some very nice shots you got there! 🙂 I ended up with the Sigma 100-400, I’ve been happy with it. I’m really hoping that Sony follows Canon’s example and makes a nice 100-500 at some point.

When you pushed it at +1 stop did you also push it in development?
@AardvarkAdventure2 ай бұрын
I'm thinking she didn't push, she overexposed using the exposure comp (since some of the shots say +0.5, and you can't choose specific photos to push certain amounts). I was really surprised at how they looked until I noticed that. A lot of people mix those terms up. Just in case anyone is reading this and is confused, pushing would be *underexposing* and then overdeveloping. Shooting one stop pushed means faster shutter speeds (usually to help shooting in low light).

The cost of film makes me feel anxious to use it, and although maybe you felt it a bit, as besides photographing you were recording it to share your experience, the photos are very soothing. Makes me recall that freeing feeling, to have a few photographs I can remember where and when I took them, closer to my memories of it. Sometimes I check my digital files and I think I shot unnecessarily too many photos that don't say much, maybe in part because digital have evolved so much that rather than seeing what my eyes see it looks like what digital perfect machines see.
@hannahrheaume2 ай бұрын
Film is very expensive, especially when you need to develop it too! I like the feeling it gives my photos and how it forces me to slow down. I’m much more selective when I hit that shutter button - I don’t want a single exposure to go to waste. Digital photos definitely have a different feeling - the crispness and perfection can sometimes be too much. I find myself editing my digital photos to look filmic more and more.
