Was a RCA for about 8 months back in 2016 and left to finish my electrical apprenticeship. Construction has slowed way down and nobody's hiring so in the meantime I got a job as a city PTF for USPS but for sure the second my local electrical union gives me a call with work I'm gonna bounce, the pay and schedule just cannot compete with the trades.

Great video bro. I’ve been here 8 years. When I first started every morning was quite chaotic indeed. As time went on I figured it out by the grace of God ! Now I try my best to be there and help, motivate, and resonate with new carriers and employees Of The USPS in general. I know how it feels to not be heard, seen, and cared for on the job.

It all depends on your willingness to put up with long hours, harsh management and “scavenger hunts”. It’s a lot. But there are those who don’t mind putting in the time (20-30 years) to get to top pay and enjoy consistent work. Good luck with whatever you choose!

As a CCA myself, people never see the big picture and why you wanted to join the post office in the first place. it’s simple…obviously to make money!!! 12 years to get to 37$ an hour that’s like 80,000 a year, way above average on top of going on the OT list you can easily make 90-100k at the post office. Some people don’t even make that with a degree 😮💨 and if the NALC ever comes thru with that new contract for carriers we’ll be making 44$ hour that’s 91,000 a year without overtime.
@Hello-zg5le6 ай бұрын

God Bless you! And congratulations! This really motivated me to keep my head in the game… I was going to quit today. I am a PSE for Dallas Texas. had my 5 days break last week… 2 weeks ago Union stated I was number 16 on the list I had made up my mind already that I was just going to go back into my career field … however when I went back in to work after my spit shift, a colleague had approached me and asked me if I was contacted in regards to any conversions. she explained to me that she knew someone that was number five on the list that that was updated this last Sunday, that came after me me they haven’t taken their break yet… and that person also knew number 4 which was also after me… so I must have moved up to 3,2, or one! 🙏🏾 I’m going to keep the faith and keep pushing! Thank you for your encouraging videos! 🙏🏾

You live in a high cost of living area it's not a great job. You make regular where you are at - just transfer to someplace with a lower cost of living. Not every station or office is terrible. (Supervisor worrying about you calling in sick like that is micromanaging nonsense trying to put fear in you from doing it again).
