I want to commend you. The first thing I heard in your video was gratitude. The second thing I heard you talk about was your faith in God. The third thing I heard you talk about was trying to find the lesson in what you are doing. All those three things are POWERFUL. What I would like to tell you is that you continue to SEEK. You are continuing to be humbled and patient. You may actually be the teacher for someone else. Someone else in your work place maybe learning from your work ethic. Despite the job satisfaction, you are delivering mail to the elderly, veterans, people in need of medicine. You ARE a blessing to many on your route. You ARE serving a purpose. You are blessed beyond measure. Never forget, God will have you where He wants you to be, when He wants you to be there. Continue to serve God and others and leave the rest to Him. He has got u! ❤

I can’t wait to quit this job. Doing it now. Everything i read about management I am finding to be true and not always good. This is a stressful job and you will bust your a$$ being a mail carrier. There’s a lot of BS. The LLV’s are a joke, old and filthy, no AC, even the heat isn’t much, uncomfortable, the routes take much longer than they tell you and if not done in time you get blamed, It takes its toll on your knees and back. Yes the hours can be long and you’re stuck delivering Amazon on Sundays. Say goodbye to your social life. You will work a long 10+ hour day then you will be back to work the next day at 8am. If you have a lousy manager no one likes you’ll won’t want to show up. On top of all that sh **, you only know ONE day ahead of your schedule! Not even a week ahead! There’s a lot of stress to get the route done. The only positive thing about this job is that you’re by yourself all day, you get to meet friendly people and their pets and then there’s a paycheck every two weeks, that’s it.

As a CCA myself, people never see the big picture and why you wanted to join the post office in the first place. it’s simple…obviously to make money!!! 12 years to get to 37$ an hour that’s like 80,000 a year, way above average on top of going on the OT list you can easily make 90-100k at the post office. Some people don’t even make that with a degree 😮💨 and if the NALC ever comes thru with that new contract for carriers we’ll be making 44$ hour that’s 91,000 a year without overtime.

Right now top carriers get paid 130,000 for doing 60 hours ODL if you do wana grind for that

I left after my one year break in service. The job itself is taxing on the body. You’ll work up to 60 hours a week (maybe more during the holidays) and you’ll more than likely be treated as “a body”. My experience wasn’t pleasant at all. Most people complain, argue and don’t have much good to say about the career. “The benefits are good” will be said by those who you tell you’re working for the USPS. I would suggest giving it your best and evaluate whether or not you’re willing to make a career out of it. It wasn’t for me. I wish you nothing but the best!

Hey. One of my best friends works as a carrier. He was a CCA for about 2 years, he stuck with it. He said easiest job he's ever had. Sure some managers stink, but managers do not stay at the same office for too long. Benefits are good and you aren't behind some desk all day. Get good walking shoes and after you become a regular maybe find a office that has mounted/driving routs so you won't have to walk. After becoming regular you work 5 days a week. Time in a half after working 8 hours to 10 hours, then it's double time after 10 hours. Just don't rush to please others or you will get tired faster.

If you’re doing 55 hours a week that’s 15 hours of overtime 1.5 . 80 hours of regular time and 30 hours of overtime per check . How are you not able to pay your bills? I know it’s 19 and change right that’s not great. I’d do the 25 hit that regular carrier the new contract they might lower the time to top pay. By that time top pay should be in the 40s that’s not bad . Ups has a lot of bs but the money is good. I work for ups but I just got hired at usps cca for 1 or 2 years isnt so bad Probably be a regular in not very long rhey’re. Desperate for people in LA . Ups is a solid back up plan im 7 years in there we’ll see usps has hours and you’re getting a pay bump it’s a contract year . Why you guys union is so weak and not having the ability to strike hurts you. The dude who’s doing arbitration for the union said he would accept a 2% raise ….. as a teamster who’s been through several contracts that’s not how you negotiate telling them what you’ll take from the get go 🤦♂️ I get your frustration but all unions are like that it takes a minute to get to the money. I started ups at 8$ part timers are going to be at 30$ most likely next contract . You hear about the drivers making 49$ end of contract it takes 6+ years to get top pay unless you somehow skipped the warehouse went straight into driving ( it happens) We’ll see if the post office is trash I’ll use them for the hours until ups calls for full time .

The post office can kick rocks. Modern day slavery. Worst job i ever had. And no, they dont have great benefits. All lies! @@zee6029 sorry for the late reply. Not to be dismissive or anything I wasn’t trying to be that way. But the truth is, yes it should be laid out like a red carpet.
