It has gone down to 43F before and I am not using or getting any heater at the moment. I have had success growing some of these plants on a covered patio for the whole year and are fine. I am watching them very closely though and I will move back indoors the plants that needs it most. I should totally remove the reservoir for a while. Thanks that is a good idea! 🥰

I have a portable heater on Standby when it goes below 40F (which hasn’t happened in our area). Other than that, I will keep them as is and bring inside the ones that are more sensitive. ☺️

Nope not at all… but I am watching it like a hawk. I have indoor cabinets on standby just in case. 🫣 I have seen some plants growing year round outdoors in our area like Monsteras, Philodendrons and Ficus so there is hope. ☺️🙏

For the Hoya Elephant, it is still in Fluval Stratum which is the medium I used to root it as a cutting. I use wick rope that so that it is self watering as this medium dries up easily. You want to keep it moist when rooting a cutting. I will transfer to Pon, inorganic rocks medium that is semi-hydrophonic. I have videos all about it in my channel. 💚☺️🥰🙏

Hi, where in the Bay Area are you? I am so sorry about your scalprum. 😕 I think it is an Alocasia problem as they don’t like being disturbed in general. I struggle with them and that’s why I don’t have the guts to feature them yet. But here’s what I would do. Did you save anything of the scalprum? If you have its rhizome, root it back in Fluval again but this time add pon at the bottom of the pot so when it roots, it will root into the pon. This way, you will only need to shake off the fluval and just add more pon. Be careful not to mess with the roots that grew in pon. Best of luck 🤞☺️💚
