I've read that you're "not" supposed to leave them with water in the reservoirs until they develop water roots in a few months. Then i see people start with a reservoir full of water immediately. Have you experienced ahy issues with your method?

It really depends on the plant and what substrate it came from. I fill the pot with water if I am propagating straight to pon. I don’t put water at all if I am transitioning from soil. It also depends on what kind of pot /vessel I am using, if it is a no drainage vessel, I always leave a little water at the bottom no matter what. It works for me. ☺️💚

Yes, but it is crucial to not put too much on your mix, if you’re going to add slow release fertilizer (balls). I have burnt some plants before and wasted a whole bucket of Pon mix. 🫣

Oh sorry, I forgot to mention the Lechuza pon’s fertilizer is only good for 6 months. You must add your own after that.

Hello Peachy!! I just found your channel. Great video! I'm realitively new to pon and self watering pots. I see that this can get expensive very quickly. Thus I truly appreciate you sharing the diy pon and self watering pots. Would you please share where you got the pretty gold colander.
