Why does cadillac has to bottom springs for the push through bar? Is any exercise that you use them both??
@OnlinePilatesClassesКүн бұрын
there is an exercise where you want to switch the bottom spring you are using...its a Romana exercise and you want the spring behind you. So in that exercise its easier to just switch the spring then to move the spring to the next side. xx~LL

difference in pointing and flexing?

the point up keeps you out of your hip flexors so you can access your abs and the flex down allows you to gather your hamstrings. xx~LL

@ oh- ok I’ll try but I keep getting cramps- lol
@OnlinePilatesClasses16 күн бұрын
@@lisahansen6014 I wouldn't point as hard... I would focus on flexing more and opening the front of your hip and turning your glute on. Sounds like your glute and hamstring aren't firing and you're just doing this in your ankle. Not full body. You have lots of great questions, I really could help you if I could see your body move. I hope you join OPC! xx~LL

@@lisahansen6014 gonna take time and practice. You didn't get asymmetrical overnight. If you take my magic circle class on here there is a exercise that helps you turn on your glute more. But it will take time. You have to find a new way to point your foot wihtout overpointing.

When I try "the hundred", pumping those arms, my neck gets so tired. Where should I be focusing? I have had a c-section and swear I don't have muscle there! ha ha
@OnlinePilatesClasses16 күн бұрын
So this is where I'd LOVE for you to be an OPC member so I can see you do the 100. Your abs should be holding your head and chest up but you're using your neck for sure. And, I'm not sure how long ago your c section was but yes its possible we need to build up your abs. You can use a couch cushion or ball to prop your and shoulders up. Not too much (this is why I'd love for you to be an OPC member cuz I could see where your placement is) so that you give your abs the time they need to support your head and chest. xx~LL

You are amazing! I have been practising pilates for a few months now; and have finally found a really good place! I struggle so much with lower core muscles/activation though - it feels like I lack those muscles? 😩 I have done a lot of running in the past and I wonder if I am used to using my leg muscles too much? Roll up and rolling like a ball feels impossible without strap or momentum (or falling flat on my back!) Is this something you have heard before? Using the straps doesn't always feel like it's giving the right move.
@OnlinePilatesClasses21 күн бұрын
hey love, without seeing you do this my assumption is that you're hipflexors are more dominate and that is why you come up with a flat back. Keep using the strap! Its for you! And the more advanced you get the more you'll love it! A few months is not that long actually sooo keep going! And, we might need to explore finding the connections to your Thass® I've got a workshop on my site. I also teach this in my membership and you can post a video of you doing it so I can see what else might be going on. More seat, hamstrings and don't forget to exhale xx~LL ps this week my workshops will be 50% off opc.me/bfcm let me know if you have any questions

I’m interested in all your content. How do you do your “ 100” or V-sit with the arms bobbing without getting tight in the neck. I can’t do without supporting my neck. I’ve had c- section- I swear I have minimal stomach strength!
@OnlinePilatesClasses28 күн бұрын
ok, so the 100 isn't a v sit. And teaser which some people think is a v sit also isn't. 1) if you're post natal and you've got permission to workout now you might want to use a ball or bolster to prop up. your shoulders to get you in the proper hundreds curl. check out fullbodyin15.com for a free workshop series and workout that might help ya 2) we have a pre/post natal workshop on my site onlinepilatesclasses.com which will be 50% off november 27-december 2nd. 3) we have a pelvic floor mat class also going to be 50% off those dtes. 4) support your neck by using a prop to prop up your shoulders so that you're in the proper curl to get your abs to turn on. And keep your legs down on the mat until your abs are strong enough. 5) we do give personalized feedback for our opc members. You can try us out at opc.me/40 and I'd love to see your 100 and teaser and anything else you want some feedback on.
