The legend of Bigfoot was the thought, anciently, that it is cain, his family and lemech. Cain was cursed. The first murderer would be the last to die. This is why no one has been able to kill him or his family. The curse too was that the earth would not yield its strength so that he could never til the ground nor eat of it. A wanderer and seeker of food would be his fate until the end of the earth when he would finally perish. There is no shelter or game at high altitudes to sustain him and his family. He is in heavier brush areas for protection and better prospects for food. I believe 80% of the people reporting are just stories. 20% are legitimate especially those who describe the person as human face with flat teeth like ours. He could never exist in open ground or tundra or snow as it is a dead giveaway. You would fine him in areas of relative thickness of trees, abundance of game he could easily catch and not darting in front of cars. Cains fear was that people would find him and kill him. I do not think he would risk that by hanging out in populated areas. Great stories but not practical

I'm curious - did you use exposure comp in this fox photo in the snow with your Auto-Iso?
@tomaswmitchellphotography7 ай бұрын
Yes at +2
@TheWildlifeGallery3887 ай бұрын
@@tomaswmitchellphotography - I figured - leads me to a serious question - why do so many people preach Manual +Auto-iso + use Expos. Comp? - when the only thing that Expos. Comp does in this setting is either add or subtract Iso from the settings. - seems to me you're adding an extra step that's not necessary. Plus, Auto-Iso gets it wrong most of the time - which is why people use the Expos. Comp setting to make up for it. wouldn't it be better to just use full manual? - now I realize what ever settings help a person get the shot their after is really the goal - many ways to skin a cat - but every time I see a short or long video saying this is the setting to use for Wildlife, I do scratch my head a little. my keeper rate went way higher once I got away from this setting and just use full manual. not knocking or mocking you or what you're saying I just find this setting not reliable enough.
@tomaswmitchellphotography7 ай бұрын
@@TheWildlifeGallery388 Because wildlife photography is about shooting fast in changing conditions. If you shoot in full manual chances are you will miss the shot because you will be adjusting your exposure. For instance shooting in snow like the fox image demands you over expose by about 2 stops. If you are fiddling with your meter to make sure the exposure is right the shot will be lost. Animals don’t hold still long and and often as the animals move between shadow and light the exposure changes too quickly to keep up with it in manual mode. Try photographing a dog in a park that is running around through the trees. Do a series in full manual and then do a series in Auto ISO with your shutter and aperture set at what you want. The. Compare the two shoots. I think you will get the point.
@tomaswmitchellphotography7 ай бұрын
@@TheWildlifeGallery388 I should also ask what camera system you are using and what meter setting you have your camera on, because if Auto ISO is getting wrong exposures for you I would suspect your meter is set wrong or your camera is faulty. When I use auto ISO my histogram is always really good.
@TheWildlifeGallery3887 ай бұрын
@@tomaswmitchellphotography - I shoot Canon and use evaluative metering - I can assure there's nothing wrong with the camera - Auto-iso gets it wrong most times otherwise you wouldn't need exposure compensation, would you? - which is only adjusting your ISO up or down anyways- - subjects that have black and white feathers like a Bald Eagle or say a Belted Kingfisher it'll nearly without fail blow the highlights in the white feathers every time - in most cases Auto-Iso under exposes the scene - while these can be corrected in post - shot correctly there is less processing needed - I only shoot Wildlife and understand how quickly things happen - shooting full manual has YET to cause me to miss a shot - to be fair I'm not knocking anyone who uses it - it can work - I just found my keeper and hit rate went way up when I quit using it - the thing that really gets me with it is nearly without fail those that use it always input an exposure comp with it and as I said before that is only adjusting your ISO - i just don't see a benefit to it - if I did I'd use it and did for nearly a year - this is just my experience with it - we all should use what works for each of us as well.

I got the Nikon Z30 but I'm a little worried about the EVF missing. I can still return it and buy an Sony A6400 which has an EVF for ~200 EURO more. What do you think, should I keep it or switch to the Sony with the EVF ? I mention this is for a beginner with absolutely no experience (it is the first camera).
@tomaswmitchellphotography Жыл бұрын
The Z-30 really is a vlogging camera BUT you can do a lot with it. It has been an adjustment for me not having the EVF so I found this cool item. www.amazon.com/Hoodman-H32MB-HoodLoupe-Outdoor-Screens/dp/B074N4Z4J1 this works really good when I’m shooting with a tripod. I would keep the Z-30 and try it for a while. I’ve been doing photography for a long time and have lost track of how many cameras I have had. In 5 years or less you’ll be wanting another camera so you can learn everything about this one you can then move on.😁

Thanks! I can’t remember the name of that tune but all the music was by a Scottish band names Daimh. I love Irish and Scottish music and primarily play the guitar, and cittern.
@jlars972 Жыл бұрын
Well I was going to say that intro sounded like Tommy Peoples' fiddle style. He played in that Northern style which, as you likely know, share many Scottish influences. I wouldn't be surprised if the fiddler from Daimh is not from the North as well. Lovely bit of fiddling there - I'll look into finding more about it. That last tune fragment at the end sounded quite a bit more Irish to me. Different band? Oh and besides fiddle, a bit of octave mandolin out of me also, sometimes. Thanks for watching the whole video. I appreciate it. Unfortunately none of us typically get fantastic images when we are shooting a video. It would be nice but it doesn’t often happen. My purpose this morning was to shoot a video not get a fantastic photograph. I talk about the fact there were no clouds. I got there too late and I didn’t want to hike to areas I knew had better compositions because of health issues and time constraints. I’ve been a professional photographer for over 30 years but I’ve only been playing with KZbin videos for the last couple years. I am not trying to become a KZbin sensation. I make these videos for fun. I do though sell my work in very large format prints all the time to very high end clients. Just today I hung a framed 24x48 inch print in a clients office. Check out all my work on my website.😊
@pittyman Жыл бұрын
3:35 Nothing in the frame, too. Where is Your primary object?🤔
@tomaswmitchellphotography Жыл бұрын
There again the image at 3:35 is video with the highlights blown out because of the dynamic range of the shot. The still image of 4:48 is the finished image and though far from perfect the subject is the mountains towering over the scene with fall colors in the willows and trees. This image is warm and inviting with nice blue sky and wispy clouds. My clients typically buy prints of scenes like this because the scene is peaceful and reminds them of the fun times they have had in an area like this.

The image at 3:08 is video not a still image, you can see the truck on the road moving. I shot those clips with my Nikon D850 which doesn’t have a lot of latitude in video. I edited the video clip as best I could but it was still flat.
