At the beginning, this region was Polish, so the castle you visited has Polish roots. The Slavic territories stretched far west of Szczecin, today the German island of Rügen was once a place of a very important Slavic cult and pilgrimages from all over the Slavic lands were made to this temple. For hundreds of years, the Germans Germanized these lands, replacing the native Slavic languages with German. They had economic and military dominance over the small Slavic tribes. Isn't it enough for you that the Prussians are a Slavic tribe? They had nothing in common with the Germans, they were just conquered and colonized by them. and not Oder only Odra this river flows through Poland territory and is a border river, but it does not flow through German territory, why do you call it in German? another manifestation of cultural Germanization.
@GallivantGrowGlow25 күн бұрын
I called it Oder because that is what Google maps called it 🤷♀️ that’s an awesome history lesson though!

No it wasn;t. Mieszko fought with Vielets for Pommerania losing two battles in 963. Boleslav tried to baptize Szczecin but the attempt failed. After Boleslav's reign Pomeranie became an independent duchy. Only for a few years became a fiefdom of Polish Duchy ruled by Boleslav the Wry Mouth. At that time Pommerania was successfully baptized. Then it became a Danish fiefdom and then Brandenburgian In the 13th century Pomerania was relatively swiftly germanized so a duke of Pomerania led this knights to support Teutonic Order during the Battle of Grunwald/Tannenberg. Captured during the battle he was freed for a ransom he had promised to pay soon after his return to Szczecin. After the 30 years war Szczecin and the western part of Pommerania was taken by Sweden though their inhabitants remained German. Swedish Kingdom lost Western Pommerania to Prussia after the 12 years war in the 18th century.

this is the first time I've heard Ukrainian dumplings. Dumplings are Russian
@GallivantGrowGlow25 күн бұрын
Dumplings are used to describe a similar food from all over the world, but in the US we associate the word pierogi with Poland. Seems we may have it wrong!
@Robertino1225 күн бұрын
@@GallivantGrowGlow these are dumplings with potatoes, nothing to do with Russia, much less Ukraine, and nothing to do with the war. Ukrainians have pelmini, something similar to dumplings, but nothing to do with dumplings.
@GallivantGrowGlow25 күн бұрын
Yes I think it’s a language issue as for us “dumpling” refers to a broad food. There are Asian dumplings, southern dumplings, etc.

@Robertino1225 күн бұрын

Is Szczecin really a "little" city? With its nearly 400 thousand inhabitants, it ranks 7th as Poland's most populous city. Only Warsaw, Kraków, Wrocław, Łódź, Poznań and Gdańsk are bigger.

Good vid. We just bought our FarPoint/Fairview40 recently...and can't help ourselves from doing the happy dance when we're in our hotel room. We still have checked luggage but the Osprey's replaced cheap gym duffle bags that we were using. We're traveling full-time. Debating if we should buy a pair of the FarPoint Daypack or go with the Ultralight Stuff Pack (Osprey) as our personal item and front attach it to the shoulder straps w/carabiners. Osprey is sending us 4 male buckles that match the smaller FarPoint female buckles. I'll make some custom straps so I can turtle attach any type of smaller backpack. The Petronas Towers in the background was a nice touch too. Aren't those amazing? Cheers.
@GallivantGrowGlowАй бұрын
Nice idea! Haven’t thought to attach any other bags as these are the ones we’ve had for the last 8 years. We’re totally obsessed with them. We actually almost had the day pack confiscated forever at the Euro Fan Zone in Berlin and were devastated. Thank goodness we got it back at the end of the game by magic! We loveeee them. Yes Kuala Lumpur is incredible! One of our favorite places we’ve been. Cheers!

Hello sir, How are you ? Sir I want to give some tips about your youtube channel. Your video content is really good. But views and subscriptions are very less. You need to do channel SEO to increase subscribers and views, meaning your video is not full SEO. Your SEO score is too low, your SEO score needs to be over 90. Video SEO and organic promotion are the main reasons why videos go viral. If you do SEO and promotion then your channel will get lots of subscribers and views. For now you can do channel SEO or video and organic promotion. Your channel will grow very fast. Because your video content ideas are very good.
