He is not a muay thai stylist per se. Just because he throws elbows etc doesnt mean he represents muay thai. He is a very good fighter overall but with a lot of mistakes in his striking. In his prime, he was more than good in MMA, but striking-wise I dont think he would do well in Muay Thai on the highest level with the way he dropped his hands after punches etc. And to be honest, I found only his kickboxing matches...

Thank you for such clear explained advice! I do not know yet if it will work for me, but everything you said made so much sense. I am looking forward to implementing these specific stretches into my routine. I am very flexible, so I have been suspecting it is a strength issue as well. I am going to check out the strength video you referenced. Thank you!

Thanks for sharing! I was fortune enough to learn muay thai at gym by a good coach, even i moved I could still improve my fundamentals. But recently still looking for gym to spar in current place to get feedback. One question, there are two gyms in different distances, should I choose the far one with better coach or the closer one with average teaching? Thanks again.
@WarriorMartialArts
@WarriorMartialArts 8 күн бұрын
The short answer is to go with the better Coach. But the real world answer is that you just have to know yourself. By that I mean, will you consistently travel the extra distance? Or are you likely to miss classes because the travel adds too much friction. Regular average training will always supersede irregular great training. But if you know you'll still get there, then think of the extra travel as an additional investment in time to develop faster. Hope this helps, and thank you for the new video idea :)

I don't know if this is a balance issue or hip mobility for you, but when you do a high kick, you lean back and it seems to throw you off balance. I still haven't fixed this myself, but I'm wondering if you can work through head placement and correct follow through in a new video.

Hi good video👌 an extra tip for people who have enough mobility but still arent able to kick proberly (especially high kicks) for me it helped alot to gain some strength in sertain muscles like your hamstring, glutes and hips, extra strength in these mucles will help you raise your leg higher and also raise it higher more frequently

Honestly it’s just time in the position above everything else. That might just be an area that you are genetically tight / not flexible in. Keep consistent with it, the mobility will come.
