£900 for a remap !! I paid £160. Takes 15min with a laptop. Undetectable and took my Renault trafic from a sluggish 115bhp to a sprightly 150bhp. Don't bother with underslung tanks as maybe you know by know that the MFG group are doing away with forecourt LPG points in favour of much more profitable EV charging points. Just check how many fuel stations they supply. Probably why bailey endeavour range uses diesel/electric for hot water and heating and small gas bottle for cooking. The elddis/swift dealerships won't tell potential customers this

The size of the vehicle isn’t the problem, Iv drove double decker buses down narrower roads. The problem is speed & generally people are not aware because mostly they only drive cars. I sit on sites and watch some people trying to reverse and it’s shocking. The mirrors are large for a reason as we need to see the end of the vehicle whilst cornering. Most motorhome owners that have done this a while like yourself drive with respect but some newbies are brutal. Whether it’s 3.5Te or not i think they should be doing some sort of test. Anyway Great videos as usual keep up the good work

Agree and it's the reason I wouldn't rent our van out. The mirrors are large for a reason but when driving one people need an appreciation that some lanes have trees at the edge of the road. It's not just the mirror in the middle of the road. Thanks for watching and your comment.

Ok, I'll ask the dumb question rather than assume! Regarding oil change, is the suggestion that, because we tend to do less than 5000 miles ,(and I accept that) we should have an annual oil change? Coincidentally, I was told this same thing by a staff member in a FIAT dealership (who deal with Ducatos) in Preston yesterday. I sort of nodded, but I wondered if I should ve sceptical? It sounds like it was fair advice. They were also trying to sell me a servicing plan!

My new gripe about my T-line 590 is the reverse camera. In reverse it points down too much showing the bike rack rather than more of the area I'm reversing into.
@LiveforTravel
@LiveforTravel 12 күн бұрын
A number of people are unhappy with it. You can see the other camera feed by choosing it as a 'source' like you do for radio, USB etc but this means you cannot listen to music whilst it is displayed. I think I have seen some people have swapped the connections round so that the other camera works when using reverse but I haven't done that myself.

Hi, im a newbie /rookie to campervan life. Me and my wive have recently purchased a second hand campervan and been on 4 camps....The problem i have had is getting power from the power supply EHU to the leisure battery, which results in the fridge not working properly etc. The leisure battery charges up fine whilst driving....But i think i'm doing something wrong on the hook up cable is faulty (it was second hand). Any ideas would be gratefully appreciated.
@LiveforTravel
@LiveforTravel Ай бұрын
@@tonydoyle7972 that's difficult to answer as different vans are wired and configured differently. I would suspect it is not the EHU cable as that will either be working... or it won't. On our van, the fridge is set to battery when driving and to electric when hooked up on a campsite. Many vans, like ours, won't be wired for the fridge to function from a leisure battery as absorption fridges (unlike compressor) use a lot of power. Hope you get it resolved soon.

It’s not negative comment… 🤔 I liked the video 👍 when I watched your video as I’m new and just doing an extensive business conversation … I noted you said ‘you cannot run a fridge’ unless engine is running… I took that as a fact and started to google it, as I never heard that before ‘Ever’ .it’s quite misleading really because you don’t mention its specific to a fridge or a system. I didn’t react I just checked it out that’s all. I don’t think it’s fair you saying I’m being negative as if any one else gets confused at least they can see a discussion 👍

You say you can’t run a fridge off the battery’s unless engine is running… but that’s not correct is it…? If you got lithium 12v system you can draw power as long as the battery’s are charge.. isn’t that right..?
@LiveforTravel
@LiveforTravel 2 ай бұрын
@@robertoshea6227 first comment and it's a negative. 😀 We appreciate them all. In the video it is said that our van, 'like many' has a fridge that will work from EHU, gas or the battery (if the engine is running). If you wanted a fridge to work on a lithium set up and if the install accounted for this, yes indeed you can. However that is not what this video is about is it? There are many different options available for vans and it is down to the converter and buyer to get what they want. Our van is not installed with lithium and, if it was, the system would still only allow running the fridge from the battery with the engine running. Unless it was converted to do so. An interesting point for me is an absorption fridge, as fitted to ours and many vans, uses a lot more power than a condenser type. So, had your question not been rhetorical, and it simply stated 'you could run off the battery if you wanted it converted that way' we would all have pink and fluffy clouds above us. For us, we are more than satisfied with how our van is connected with regards to the fridge. Never had any issue running it off the gas. Appreciate your time with commenting.
