In high school I had a 1980 d150 short box 4 speed metal flake brown with tan interior. It had a 225 slant six with the single barrel carb. Not a day goes by that I don’t miss that old bastard. Didn’t know what I had when I had it. Would have been a sweetheart with a 318 swapped in it.

@@RealSteelFabrications very, very true. If you restore it frame off, you’ll spend $20,000 and then when the day comes and you want to sell it depending what kind of shape it’s in you might get $5,000. Save your money and invest it in land or something that will make you money. When I was young I restored a couple vehicles and I wasted so much money even doing it myself. I wish I had all the money I blew on vehicles. Now that I’m older and wiser I see vehicles as just transportation. Vehicle restoration is one of the biggest scams around. If you want to drive it you have to spend more money on insurance and if it’s restored you have to worry about someone stealing it. Now that we’ve got all these illegals driving around without a license and insurance it’s even riskier. They don’t even know which side of the ride to drive on! They stole my neighbors nicely restored 1969 ford f100. He owned it since new. They broke into his garage and drove it off. He was very lucky it was recovered in the same condition they stole it. My advice don’t fix it sell it as is and let it be a lesson to you.
