It's so strange, because the only body shape in the Standard series with any kind of comfort bevels is the Solo. you'd think the Les Paul shape would be the one without contours.

Hello, what would say about the neck feeling, the playability, especially for playing barre chords all along the neck ? Thanks ☺️ Is the 9.5" radius a good point according to you ? Compared to a 12" for example...
@EJBGuitar2 күн бұрын
Neck feel is such a personal thing - other than a 1965 Fender Mustang I had briefly, I’ve never had a real problem with any neck’s playability. Maybe I’m just not as sensitive to that as others. The neck on this is perfectly playable, plenty comfortable especially considering the way they roll the fretboard edges. My suggestion is to simply try one…nobody can tell someone else if they’re going to like or dislike the feel of a neck, but like I said this does seem like a comfortable neck to me.

I am right in thinking that - as the higher ratios provide more accurate tuning - the best actual set of tuners would be 6 x the low B (of a seven string set) - every string would have a ratio of 48:1. Or as a compromise - buying the 7 string set and using it on a six string, so your set would range from 48:1 to 20:1.
@EJBGuitar10 күн бұрын
You don’t necessarily need super high ratio for each string…the varying string tensions have a lot to do with the tuning. Their website probably explains it better than I could.

Got my white aged Eastman SB55/TV a couple days ago. Stumbled across it, just holding is an experience, it captured me, kind of like shopping for a puppy. Never heard of them until I saw this beauty hanging there. People should really seek them out for demos to see what's possible beyond Gibson CS.

Love the Rush opening riff, a good choice! I am looking at these as I am in love with my Fender FMT HH Tele and this is similar, a bit less money and it has a trem and some other appointments. I dig the "modern tele" sounds (less "quack" than a traditional single coil tele but still has beautiful airy cleans) and the versitility of being able to kick on the gain and play something heavier too. Thanks for playing some more rocking stuff in your review as most reviews show just the blues and cleaner sides of the guitar.

Thanks for watching. These punch weigh above their weight in my opinion…great value.

How is it for the blues?...
@EJBGuitarАй бұрын
I guess as good as any other guitar for the blues…I personally don’t really find guitars genre-specific for the most part. I think the pickups would be fine for blues though.

My brother from another mother maybe? Sweet choice of songs!!! I'm curious if you might be able to compare the 80s tribute bridge pickup to a Duncan JB. Big difference or pretty similar?
@EJBGuitarАй бұрын
Kinda similar but I’d say a bit hotter.
@markjohnson6485Ай бұрын
I bought one 5 days ago and I love it simple expressive and easy to play really like the 10 level on the tone is the pickup only and then 9-0 you have tone control in action neck is right up my alley and the Faber bridge is not just your average wrap around bridge as this one can intonate well very good quality always wanted a Gibson but this will do nicely
@phenixreturnsАй бұрын
good sustain and low action ? it would be good to compare it vs a Luke too

That is from the Kemper ADA MP1 profile pack from Big Hairy Profiles…specifically the “Adamp V2 D Wags” profile.

As one who will change pickups in a hot minute, I think these pups are outstanding. They sound better than pups that came stock in a number of American made Gibsons I've owned and played. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. That's my rule.

Hi, great demo! What do you think of the pickup and output level? Are we talking vintage or more J Mascis-style pickups? Thanks
@EJBGuitarАй бұрын
Pretty average output really. It’s been so long since I’ve even heard the J. Mascis pickups to be honest. They seem a tad bit hotter than “vintage”…but not HOT.

Hey Boss. I really want one of these and like how the look more than a Dellinger. My issue is I have been a 100% 25.5 player all my life. Will In otoce a difference in the scale change since it has 27 frets?
@EJBGuitarАй бұрын
Probably depends on how sensitive you are to stuff like that…didn’t bother me, but I can bounce back and forth between scale lengths, fat necks & wizard necks, etc. without issues. I’d put hands on one first if I was worried about it, or at least get one from somewhere with a good return policy.
