I got devil without a cause for my childhood best friend when Sam Goody sold parental advisory Cds to kids way back in the day and even though this song is from a different CD, it reminds me of him so damn much. His family didn't have much money and one day when he was at my house hanging out, my dad who worked at the local papermill and was a drunk overheard him telling me his birthday was coming up. Well he gave us a 100 dollar bill and told us to go to the mall and have some fun and I got him that cd and when I went to give my dad the change, he gave it to him and said "happy birthday" and it literally meant the world to him. He overdosed our senior year of highschool and the kid that sold him the pills had to be escorted out of school in cuffs because his uncle was was waiting outside and was literally going to kill him. Like 100% for real. RIP Brent, still think of ya all the time. Gone wayyy too young. I'll always remember the smile on his face when I hit him that CD tho. Even tho it's a super sad story that memory of his smile always brings a smile to my face.

Want to go see him in concert and take my daughter to meet him. She’s 22 now but I was told she would never live past two years old or sit walk talk eat or drink. She even graduated.
