Gorgeous work! Would you mind sharing what colours you used on the building itself? I'm a newbie and struggling to figure out how to mix the colours I would need for the underlayers

Thanks. I basically did a very light wash of a mix of ochre yellow and scarlet on the sunlit side. On the shadow portion I think I added a bit of cobalt blue to make it darker. Once dry, I used different tones of burnt sienna, cobalt blue and ochre yellow for the stones. Hope it helps.

How do you paint the bricks so evenly?😊😊
@tauseefahmedart
@tauseefahmedart 3 ай бұрын
I still struggle to keep the brick rows even and uniform. I try to paint them very slowly and avoid shifting my hand positions frequently. Once you paint a few brick courses your hand finds a rhythm and it becomes a mechanical process after that. Hope it helps.

Hello, I love your work. Do you freehand your drawings or trace? I'm just starting out so I am trying to find the best method for me. Thanks!
@tauseefahmedart
@tauseefahmedart 7 ай бұрын
Hi, I usually trace the basic shapes and proportions of the building to make sure the perspective is right. After that I do freehand pencil detailing over it before inking.

Thank you so much. I like old architectural watercolor renderings done in the past. However I struggle to achieve their level of precision and clean look.

Where can I view a slow down method for this painting. I am painting my friends house. She has lived in 51 years and is moving to a bigger house. It is a two-story colonial with a porch. Thank you, Charlotte.

Do you freehand the ink drawing of the house you are painting? Or is there a process/program to get it on your watercolor paper? Any response would be VERY APPRECIATED
@tauseefahmedart
@tauseefahmedart Жыл бұрын
Thank you! Yes the ink outlines are done freehand using a 0.1 micron ink pen. The ink is waterproof so it can be worked over with watercolors.

Great work! Can you advise what sizes/type of brushes you used for this? I’m new to painting and looking to do house portrait like this specifically, not sure about brush size.. thank you
@tauseefahmedart
@tauseefahmedart 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks. I used regular round brushes of size 12 and 8 for covering larger areas. For finer details I prefer using a rigger or 0 sized round brush. Hope that helps.
