The only thing I liked in soul eater not was the expansion of the world/ death city. You hardly see it and how things work in the original. Neat to see how the peaceful city runs and has stuff going on. Also nice to know how Sid died lol. Hated the whole bff trio blah with disgusting 🤢🤮 fanservice of kids and that they were noobs that somehow managed to kill a witch total bs though 🙄😡.

Im Literally so confused rn. I thought Soul eater NOT was supposed to be before Soul eater - makes sense when we see Liz and Patty being on the street like they told - but for some reason Maka and Soul are seniors here. How is that possible??

I do not see how it is confusing at all. Soul and Maka are literally THE strongest Shibusen students at the start of the series, the series STARTS with them attempting to create a Death Scythe - the ultimate goal that only a few people ever achieved. Now they get left in the dust hard once Black Star picks up the pace, and Death the Kid signs up - despite being stronger than the teachers.
