The only thing I like about Soul Eater Not was that the characters used different outfits instead of being in the sabe outfits. Except Kid he still wearing the same outfit.

They don’t necessarily look bad in this, but I absolutely loved the old art style and I’ve always personally never liked this type of art style, like I kinda hate it with a burning passion, when I saw the new Soul Eater sequel had this style i was so upset😂 at the end of the day tho as long as the stories good that’s what’s important

gonna be honest, i do actually kinda enjoy this series. its a prequel, and its title says it all "Soul Eater NOT." its not the gothic-action adventure that Soul Eater is, its a spin-off, a different view and presentation of the same world from the original, set before the events of the original, and thats fine honestly- having various spinoff series's that explore the same world/universe from different views and styles is honestly fantastic and should be celebrated rather than berated. yeah its not as awesome or impactful as SE, but Not has its ups. its easy to digest, good for just turning on and zoning out at the cutesy pretty colors after a shitty day, and even though i've never really been into the whole slice of life cute girls stuff myself, i can respect it.

That's mainly due to localization. From what I'm aware of, Soul didn't greet Tsugumi at all in the original, and instead reacted more along the lines of "Huh?". I could be wrong as I haven't watched it subbed in forever, but I'm fairly confident.
