Sorry for the question, but what BEC did you use ? Or is it not necessary?
@grvtyboyRC19 күн бұрын
No problem... The Hobbywing Fusion SE motor/ESC has a built in BEC and supports 6v and 7.4v for standard servos. Recently though,I swapped to a direct power servo so no BEC was necessary for the electronics I have in my rig.

@markless125 the video shows different axles but the concept is the same. You could reach out to the dlux fan FB group page or email dlux direct to see if they can help out.

How do you like the fusions in the Bully 2?
@grvtyboyRC4 ай бұрын
love 'em. Low speed control and slow start are amazing. Much much better than stock brushed motors and stock electronics....i have tried a stock set up. . I have the ability to adjust underdrive on the fly from the RX and also am set for rear dig and front dig which comes in handy. The Fusion SE motirs have too much wheel speed for me, so i have to limit the throttle travel.

@@grvtyboyRCThat is awesome. I'm currently building a Bully 2 and have a brushed setup for it but man i really like the idea of brushless. Any modifications needed to make them fit?
@grvtyboyRC4 ай бұрын
@@BigD3D I did connect the rear lower links and shocks on the outside on the mounts on the axle side rather than on the inside. I did have to slightly bend one of the front links as well to fit more comfortably around the motor. Very slight bend.

@@grvtyboyRC It can't be in California... We would be at Sac state.... The DCW tours, in 1991, didn't have dates... On the road.... without shows. We did one hitch in Socal and another in the northwest. Drums along the Rockies was actually a pretty intense schedule and this has that DGAF Midwest Vibe after a week at altitude and then coming back to oxygen.

@@grvtyboyRC Nope. In 91, we didn't have DCW tours with an open day. There was an early weekend in Socal and a hitch through the northwest. This was somewhere after DATR. Nice build man. I’m building a very similar rig now. Are you happy with the 100mm shocks? I’m debating going shorter. Yours looks like it’s handling pretty darn good though.
@grvtyboyRC6 ай бұрын
Thanks for the comment - Very happy and surprised how well the longer shocks worked. I had 90's on there originally. Check out Pricey's Custom Shocks on Face book. He's in austrailia and will have a conversation with you about your build, weights and really will setup what will accomplish your needs. I was going for shorter shocks but I wanted longer drop/extended so he suggested 100mm but a ride height is 75mm (partial droop) . I so have Incision S8A shock accessory kit that replace the standard shock rod end on the bottom and drop the shock another 5mm.
@grvtyboyRC6 ай бұрын
Just to add, i would buy any other 100mm shocks.. if you're considering another brand then stick with 90s. The internal springs above and below piston really allow the shock to work with that long throw.
@DP-vd6bl6 ай бұрын
Thanks for the reply and all the information! I really appreciate it. It’s hard to find good info on the moon buggies; especially shocks that look and act the part. I shot Pricey a message last week, but they’re shut down until Feb. I’ll wait for them and order a similar setup as yours.

Looks great! What is rear shock set up? Did u use cantilever?
@grvtyboyRC Жыл бұрын
I thought about cantilever but ended for now sticking with 80mm internal spring shocks. I made a custom shock tower so I could lean the shocks far forward to not interfere with the bed. It works ok but side hill performance is terrible and allows the rear of the body to roll a lot so its not the best setup. But I like how it looked. I think shorter shocks or a cantilever setup would be better. (maybe even limit straps would help)

What is that tube thing coming off the fuel tank? Is that a diy or is it something i can find somewhere?
@grvtyboyRC2 жыл бұрын
The thin rubber (yellow) tubing was just something I found around the house. I was really trying to find something on-line and never did. Probably only 2.5-3mm diameter hollow tubing and just fit directly onto the fuel cell. For the larger filler tube for the fuel cell, most people use clear or black water tube from home depot. (for a home water filter system or gardening supplies)
