I miss the loudness of Jet Engines. I remember as a kid in the early 00’s all planes being allot louder and nowadays they don’t have that same sound.

Exactly the same here. I was stood at the perimeter fence of Filton airfield in November 2003 to watch one of the last landings. I can still remember the huge sadness and sense of loss that I felt as if it were only yesterday.

I knew a guy many yrs.ago that inherited a bunch of $ from a relative. He took a trip that had him ride both the Q.E.II AND the Concord. He said the flight was so amazing when it went from mach 1,to 2.He could feel the g-force decrease. Then jump as it went to mach 2.😮 I saw it take off one time from Bangor International Airport.I was 🤯😊

Concord would not seem great if you lived any where near the flight path and had to put up with a sonic boom everyday. Thats why it was grounded because it wasn't alowed to go supersonic over land.

£740.00 for a return ticket. Out BA Economy and back from NYC on the Concorde. Always remember it's THE Concorde not just Concorde. Twice a year BA offered this to staff. Foretuneately I knew one of the staff . He nor his wife nor his daughter could be bothered. What? So I went twice. They used to put a little gift under the seat. My partner still has and uses the Smythson address book.

Setting up for the Indianapolis 500 in May of 1994, Roger Penske started a top secret engine program with Ilmor in England for the 500. As they worked through the winter of 1993, they would need a new design of a part from Ilmor. How do you get a part across the Atlantic faster than overnight? Simple, purchase it a seat on the Concorde, and they did a number of times. I got to see these engines run at Indy. They were in a class by themselves.
