Orange and green is, of course, godawful, but period. But black window frames???? Never!

Not one aethentic designed mid century piece in the house. The windows are well done though, I apprecaite that. The rest... just doesnt cut-it.

The black doesn’t work as well as white.

I wanted to get your opinion. I have a living and dining room of authentic mid-century furniture. It belonged to my mom who just passed away. Where would you start to sell it if it were you? People here on the East Coast do not appreciate its beauty and history. Love you channel...thank you for sharing.

Thank you for not effing the house up… That mid-century style resonates so much with a wide variety of people… It’s not for everyone but for minimalists like me it doesn’t get any better👊🏽💯

Yea, the bedrooms in Eichler homes are painfully small. Few people today want to live in a child-sized MBR.

Restoration is so different than renovation. Thes guys did a beautiful job without taking out all the character of the home. They did it right!!! Absolutely beautiful!! POOL AREA AND LANDSCAPING ARE GORGEOUS

Thousand Oaks is my favorite southern california Richler tract. Orange is too hot and dry while Balboa is close to the largest msw landfill and natural gas reserves.

As someone who moved into new home in 1964 (!) I think it would have had more wall to wall carpeting. I mean in order to be authentically sixties.

They had terrazzo as the flooring in these houses, not wall to wall.

I don't know how anyone can afford to live in Palm Springs, especially in an expensive home. It's the middle of the desert. What job or business opportunities are even out there?

Originals were post & beam construction, which allowed for truly open concept. I'm not an architect, but I've heard that today's building codes don't permit expansive post & beam residence construction (not sure why).

This property is no longer midcentury, big disgrace to see these properties flipped badly. The outside looks great...

*To anyone thinking of buying a house in Scotland, you should be aware that when you sign the Title Deed to the house you are about to buy, you may be giving a private company the legal right to charge you exorbitant charges for FACTORING SERVICES. A "property factor", a.k.a. "residential factor", is a private company which deals with property repair, maintenance, cleaning, landscaping and snow removal. There is a company which has branches in Scotland's four biggest cities called JAMES GIBB RESIDENTIAL FACTORS which has a **_long_** history of defrauding and cheating clients (homeowners/tenants) by overcharging them and even charging them for services that have not been provided. This company has no interest in providing a service, it is only interested in collecting payments from clients. If a client challenges JAMES GIBB RESIDENTIAL FACTORS about exorbitant charges, or for not dealing with maintenance work that they've requested repeatedly but has not been addressed by the company over many weeks (even MONTHS!), the company will simply IGNORE the homeowner's email or letter. And if the homeowner takes to social media to complain about this deeply unethical company, this company will issue LEGAL THREATS to the homeowner, threatening the homeowner with a defamation suit. This company needs to have its license REVOKED, but the Scottish government will never do that because in Scotland, homeowners have almost no legal rights. Just check this out -->* www.trustpilot.com/review/jamesgibb.co.uk

That's when they were built. And the furniture is meant to continue that period as well. It's similar to restoring American Cars to "period correct" finishing, versus "Restomod".

Large roof over hangs are beautiful and protect the doors, windows and siding from rain and moisture damage. Water is the enemy of buildings. Architects and home builders need to bring back large roof over hangs
