Amazing how this car is beginning to get a real following as people begin to understand its character and poise, particularly after such initial resistance. Porsche just so good like that. Thought l may need to go back to an NA version at times but now having owned mine for over 5 years l really just don’t want to. It’s such a different car to the NA versions and one l have become very fond of. I can’t put my finger on just one thing, but l know it has something to do with how it all just works so well together as a package.

Nice comparison Roger. You can now get a GT3 for £160k, so it just proves that with a bit of patience you can avoid all the musical chairs to get an allocation and big £100k overs market, which has now collapsed two years later.

I have a 2015 R9T and love it. I also have a 2015 Ducati 800 Classic. The Ducati always feels faster but we all know who wins. Please comment on your thoughts.

Hey Roger, just stopping by after a long break from youtube. Just catching up on old car content (I have 5,000 videos on my 'watch later' playlist, ahhh!) but noticed you haven't uploaded in a while. Hope you and yours are doing well. I noticed your subs have FINALLY increased from 12k and are now at 17k. Looks like your channel was about to get on the map, and deservedly so. All the best mate. David Will enjoy the GT3 now

In tbdd ex real world the higher torque available sooner makes a huge difference in favor of the gts. Sometimes I think the gt3 could be turbocharged with shorter gear ratio then it will burn anything
@john_c1Ай бұрын
Everything the GTS had was available as optional for the S. The only difference back then was that the GTS offering a “package discount “

I have exactly the same. Bought in 1997. Only driven 137.000km now. Pleasant car. Repair expencive. Keep them origenaal is important. The most tests are 944s or turbo. This a good review, about the 944 Reactions from jealouse people its an AUDi. Then you now they are jealous😮

Just sold my 2005 996 GT3 Cup track car with old style H Pattern 6 speed and bought a 2012 997.2 Cup which has dog box sequential shifting and is upgraded to paddle shifting . Why ? I am serious about tracking and want both hands on the steering wheel continually and want the increased focus this insures I am old now and do not need any distractions such as worrying about downshifting from 5th to 2nd ( instead of 4th) which can be a $20,000 mistake Also love the PDK in my 2022 Turbo S Lightweight which I also track with both hands on the wheel I respect my manual shifting brethren on public roads at spirited driving speeds but at race pace on a track two hands on the wheel helps me to drive quite relaxed and with increased focus

“Is there another with the GT3RS capability?”Corvette Z06 is in the space at half the cost (991.2 aftermarket is $300k). Other part of your question “with the same desirability ?” I’d say no to the Z06 in that category although it’s still pretty cool I recently bought the 991.2 RS and even chose it over the 992 GT3 given similar aftermarket prices. I guess it’s all a matter of preference but to me the RS is the most visually appealing car of anything out there

Hi Roger, great video! Love your language and the music too - both engine and human :o) The car, of course isn't bad either. I'm the proud owner of a C4S in sharkblue and I really love it, although it is challenging to keep the coffee in the cup. All the best to your wife! 🍀🍀🍀

These cars are maintenance prone and expensive to fix. Not fast either. The best way to keep it running is not to drive it.
@sjd_1111Ай бұрын
Wouldn’t the insurance be relatively cheap if it isn’t that fast? I’m a big fan of these vintage cars but I don’t want the headache of expensive insurance and it always breaking. Any suggestions for cars like these? Is a Toyota Mk Mr2 good for example?

Suppose the real question is why not just buy a Jaguar F Type 🐆 and save 50k? Nothing against Aston, but let’s face it-they are strikingly similar cars in appearance and performance 🎭
