Didn't even have to pry much for the back or heat it because the battery swelling but put a new battery and charging port in my lg v40 Appreciate this video 👍

While on a vaca, my battery completely died and refused to charge. I took it to a store in Houston Texas called. "Battery+Plus" for a new one. They sold me a dud battery and crack the screen, on top of denying responsibility for the damage. This video has been very helpful on how to do it myself, thank you. Now I'm headed to the store for a new battery.

Turns out, 2 years of delicately propping up the cord like some kind of impossible children's puzzle while simultaneously wanting to smash the tablet into bits could have all been avoided by spending $8.99 on Amazon and spending 10 minutes to repair it. Nice video, you're a champion

Thank you! My phone's charging port was not working, so I replaced it. In the process, I guess I damaged the screen. I now have a tiny area of dead pixels on the fingerprint sensor. Your video will help me replace the screen later on. :)

Be very careful with the battery, if you touch it bad it will burn and won't stop until phone is completely ruined, I think in this video should be a warning

There are several errors: 1. device is not powered down. 2. Magnets were not placed correctly. 3. Flex cable glued to logic board is incorrect. Needs to be glued to the screen. 4. No gloves.

Sloppy work. For people who watch this video. Be patient and gentle. Do not bend the battery like that. Do not put force into flex cables they are fragile. Use isopropyl alcohol to softhen the adhesive if heat is not enough. Instead of heat gun you can use a hair dryer or just put a plastig bag filled with hot water over the screen, make sure it doesn't leak.
