About to do this today, my only concern is does the entire car need to be off the ground? Cause I just have a scissor jack and 2 jack stands.

I'm hoping to do this this weekend on my 2011 but can't find that crank socket for 2011 -- they're all 06-10 or 12 and up?? where did you get it?

Thanks man, really helped. I've had to replace 3 lug studs on my Subaru Forester and that $30 tool was well worth it! It unfortunately broke after the 3rd use, hopefully I don't need it again...😂

the plastic piece busted on mine. can you just replace that or do you need the whole regulator and how do you replace that?

If you could find just the plastic pieces, you could replace only the plastic pieces but last time I checked, everything comes together

This video is perfect. Replaced a stripped stud on my 2012 Subaru Forester. In an hour. Stud puller ($9 Amazon) and the 8mm x1.25 hex bolt (got at autozone $3.99) to remove rotar are a must! Local car shop wanted to charge me $480 to do this! Thanks again for making this video!

Thank you so much for this! The service center didn't reset it when my oil was changed recently and I was getting irked with still getting count down messages for my oil to be changed when I know it isn't needed yet.

I was wanting to do something like this but put in longer studs so I can put on wheel spacers for different Wheels I'm just not sure if longer studs would be safe would be safe
@efixes80104 ай бұрын
If you’re putting spaces the spaces, bring an attachment. Basically you attach the spaces to the original studs and spacer bring studs on it.

8 mm spacers so basically they fit between the wheel and the Hub

Even after using the two 12 mm bolts I can’t get the rotor off… any suggestions
@Powderhoundguy5 ай бұрын
Hey just realized, you gotta take off the parking brake to remove it as well
@efixes80105 ай бұрын
@Powderhoundguy If you’re doing the rear, you have to release the parking brake because if not, it touches the drums of the rotor and it won’t allow you to remove the rotor

Does the car have to be in neutral? My wheel hub won’t rotate
@efixes80108 ай бұрын
No, the car does not need to be neutral but the wheels need to be off the ground If you do not have a lift you could put it in neutral rotated where you need it and then put it back in park. But make sure you put something in the wheel so they don’t move front or back. If you doing the front one you could put the emergency brake on if you do the rear you need to put something in the front wheels so it doesn’t move

Of all the videos on this exact repair, i feel this is one of the very best. This is a man who is excellent at what he does, very sensitive, focused, and does what is needed in the most efficient way of any of them. Try listening to what the man says and why he does it - those of you who have issues with the video for whatever reason.
