@ I actually went to check the original project in davinci resolve and found that I did apply a bit of blur to that clip in post production. So yeah it’s a post-production effect that achieved more than I expected 😂thanks for watching my videos!

@@reptil8415 please join the MGO discord for tech support. There is a section called “read me first” that generally solves all the issues that people have the first time.

have you checked your bitrate? I disabled the automatic bitrate adjustment in virtual desktop. Also, try using DLAA in the community shaders by pressing the END key. The menu does not appear in VR, but will appear in the game window. The ultra option was removed by the modlist creator in the recent update. but no worries, it didn't change much. Quality is the way to go.

@ thanks for the reply, appreciate you taking the time and effort. I have made sure everything is the same as yours. Bitrate is at 200, codec is HEVC 10 bit, automatic bitrate adjustment is unticked. I use DLAA and even increasing the sharpness to max on the CS menu as well as virtual desktop only makes it marginally better. It seems to be depth of field? Up close objects aren’t too bad it’s just trees and buildings etc in the distance. Like I’m wearing glasses that are dirty!

@ would you say the game looks clearer in your headset or in the video you uploaded? As I find when I look at the game window on my pc it looks pretty clear just not in the headset!

@ sorry to be a pain I’ve noticed that there’s a few more options which are clearly new since your video and are on by default under Graphics - DYNDOLOD Output - quality. VR FPS Stabilizer - TAA Tweaks - default. Should I leave these on or untick them?

@ you are not a pain, please feel free to ask any question. I left everything as default those in the new version. Dyndolod on quality I need to test its impact on performance still. In previous versions of the modlist gave me some stuttering so since then I never increased it. Leave the fps stabiliser on.

@@VRDaD I remember the visuals being very muddy, with constant FPS drops. For example, just outside Whiterun, the distant trees looked like a blurry mess, even on ultra settings through Virtual Desktop. The issue could be due to several factors, but I suspect the poor visuals were primarily caused by my router setup (an old TP-LINK model). I just expected my card to handle the game at 90+ FPS without much trouble.

@@oldhaws8009 I didn’t do anything special. The game detected the Vr headset and asked me “do you want to play in VR mode” and I kind of clicked on yes…no idea about pico4 how it works unfortunately.

@@xinukenx you must install the modlist on a SSD. If you install it somewhere else, you’re going to have a bad time. And yes you should create a folder like I did in the root folder. There the wabbajack will keep the mod manager, the mods itself and the downloads. Which I suggest to keep. Technically you could delete the content of the download folder…however if there is a new update, it’s much much faster.

Thanks for the clarification! I got confused and installed everything on my HDD since it had more space. No wonder the load times took forever and was not smooth. Will try installing again from the beginning. How should I go about removing the mods? Just delete the folders?

@@xinukenx if you want to save a bit of space after installing the modlist, you can delete the content of the download folder

@@tshrimp70 no as far as I know you cannot download the modlist from anywhere else. Motion sickness is very subjective. There is snap turning and other comfort options if you need. But no teleportation as far as I know.

@@adamcox81 you need to make sure that the game window is in the foreground and that it’s actually selected. Generally after you launch the game, the mantella script and the browser opens leaving the game in the background.

@@rkriger01 yes. That video mainly recommends open composite.

@@Szabby999 you can try changing the in-game settings. So open the menu in Skyrim and there should be a performance section. If you scroll down there should be grass distance, npc distance etc.

@@VRDaD Yes I maxed it out, but not enough, need more. I remember there was some ini tweak for this, but I can not remember what.

@@Szabby999 then you should try the dyndolod on quality in MO2, or put the grass density on high, still in MO2

@@JohnQuilyQuinlan it doesn’t really matter where you put them. The only thing you need to consider is to put what I called “Skyrim Vr mods” in a root folder. Don’t use strange paths. And also don’t use the same folder as the vanilla Skyrim Vr (the steam folder)

The 3070 is the very minimum to be honest. You need to put everything on low...and even so I wouldn't expect miracles. /unfortunately this modlist is very demanding.

@@VRDaD It did help performance a fair bit, sadly no where near enough to make a dent. on a 3070 it's just a slideshow outdoors. It runs well indoors but that's about it. Really sad because I love how this modlist is set up in terms of content but the graphical mods just tank the frames. I wish someone would make a modlist this good but with better performance. FUS runs well but it's not set up as well as this and doesn't include a lot of what I would want to use.

@@sociallyresponsiblexenomor7608 you can still customise FUS...adding the mods you want. so I wouldn't be sad about it. Just you need to spend a bit of time modding...

@ generally I say “I want to speak with you” and the conversation starts

when do you click on inject? do you wait until the game has fully loaded? Also I generally inject when I am already in steam vr with the headset on my head.

This is a high end modlist. Expecting to have a high end-system to play it is not unreasonable and that is why I started off with setting for people with high end hardware. I talked about mid-end systems in the video as well.

@@VRDaD BUT... Your 4090 won't always be high-end. People may very well look at this video 4 years from now, including people who weren't alive when COVID was a thing. Your content is GREAT. Even this video has a nice section about mid-range systems. When your video starts, it just sounds like you're assuming everyone knows what your system specs are. Improvement opportunity. <3.

@@anis9677 so the game crashes before even starting? Because it happened to me once when I updated to 3.01. It was the shaders compiling. I pressed a button and somehow it wasn't a good idea. I am assuming you are on the 3.01 version?

@@marcomarcon not a long time, it takes 3-4 seconds. Sometimes longer depending on the LLM server…but in KZbin terms, yes it’s a long time.

@ it is really cool to be honest. If you use paid LLM you might gain some seconds for the response. Making it even more immersive. And also you can customise the prompt for the NPCs (see my tutorial on AI)
