I see what you mean. Looks like their monte carlo sets are sold out, but you can buy them as separate chips ($5 for 25 or any denomination). They do, however, have a few different kinds of chip sets still available. If you search "piker chip sets" For example, their Imperial Chips are very nice! Obviously low count is bad, but cant you help mitigate it a little by deviating strategy, not doubling in risky positions (like 11 vs T) and hitting more aggressively knowing bust chance is lower?

There are deviations for negative counts, yes. But not playing during negative counts is even better.

Against a dealer's 2-6, you'd stand against a 7, you'd hit. Just revert back to the hars Totals section of basic strategy

Neither where I live, but Pennsylvania, it's state law. All games are there. A lot of vegas high limit rooms have s-17 as well.

Depends on your divisor. Whole deck, 3÷1=3. Half deck 3÷.05 = 6. Quarter deck 3 ÷ 0.75 =4

Very good practice for this beginning so. I caught 1 of you count misses and the quick flash, “ did you catch that?” Help me to realize that I caught it, but thought that I was mistaken when you called different than I did. But if I had to call out like you did, I wouldn’t have kept the count past one hand, two at most. Very instructive. Thank you

Great vid hope you make more in this series. Question to anyone, is 4 deck with 3 deck pen. Better then 6 deck with 4.5 pen? I assume the 6 deck yet I'm think the 4d because of the V word.?? Ty also I've never seen a 4 deck before now. Might make a good vid. Why 2 deck is better then 6 etc. Or 4 vs 6 or even single deck. I play at a local with 1 deck but they drop and reshuffle at will. So its not worth it. Even seen a dealer do it after 1 hand 2 players at table. I was like ok byebye. Lol

Question- is there a count where you shouldn’t double vs a 5 or 6? Or is it always a double no matter what the count? (Now if the count is -5, I’m probably out of the shoe anyway, unless, there’s a few people at the table and the count dropped that low on this hand.)

I have a question, if the dealer has a 4, and you're dealt a pair of 4's, (ignoring the side bets), what's the best move. Assuming the count is at least a true 1, do we hit. Split. Or double down. I'm thinking probably double down, there's a slight edge at that point to getting an 18. I'm thinking splitting 4's wouldn't be that good of a move, you might end up with 2 hands of 14, which is pretty weak against a dealer 4.

4-4 vs. 4 is always a hit, never split. The true count to double down 8 vs. 4 is super high, and is an expanded deviation, so it doesn't really matter to know it.

@@A1-BJ Oh wow, how high? I was thinking maybe TC +4 or higher. Good point about doesn't really matter to know it. It's very rare to begin with, then coupled with the fact it's also rare to get to that high of a count, it's like a 1 in a million thing, I was just curious as a hypothetical.

@@A1-BJ I practice counting by watching any new Blackjack video that comes out on KZbin. Most are from El Cortez. They cut it down the middle. I agree, 1 full deck is lame.
