10vs10 is a double if the true count is +4 or higher. Doubling 10vs10 is only a small gain even on very high true counts, unlike 11vs10.

Hey a1, where do you stand on the topic that you shouldnt double a 10v10 until +7 don Schlesinger's book the hi lo card counting system actually says that it doesnt increase your ev enough but increaes the variance and standadd deviation to a point where its less valuable than hitting
@A1-BJ3 ай бұрын
I double at a true +4. But I can see why you'd wait. Probably less risk adverse.

I always see videos and ppl say surrender first. Iv been to vegas, atlantic city, biloxi, st louis. I have not played at a table that offers surrender yet

First time I ever seen one was last week. I was at wind creek in PA

@BlackjackSnow never played there. Iv yet to run into one. If I do though I'm definitely sitting down if rules otherwise are decent bc iv never had to chance to play with surrender lol

@@robdishjr4912 lol I feel you bro. I don’t even like surrendering. It’s either ima lose, win or push. Like I say, “momma ain’t raise no bitch…”😭😭😭😭

@BlackjackSnow lmfao haha I 100% feel you there man. And at times I'm like bro I know I shouldn't but I just wanna hit this 12 or I'm like I know I shouldn't but I wanna double this 10 vs dealer 10. But I gotta reel myself back in haha. Takes some discipline. It would prob make u feel like a bitch but the numbers day if u have it available to surrender. So I guess I'll tuck my tail and surrender haha

A 4th decision would be surrender. In my counting strategy split 88vs10 if the true count is less than +5.
@ajm91233 ай бұрын
Is that actually the 100% right deviation?
@emmanuelvacakis44633 ай бұрын
@@ajm9123 the computer can make the right decision on every hand with all possible deck combination of cards remaining to be played with all rules.

@@emmanuelvacakis4463 what do you use to see all the deviations?
@emmanuelvacakis44633 ай бұрын
@@ajm9123 my deviations are different because I I have a different count my true count is 1 per every half deck. So I divide my running count by 2 for every deck remaining. So for 6 decks I divide by 12, not 6. For 3 decks remaining I divide by 6 to get the true count.
@ajm91233 ай бұрын
@@emmanuelvacakis4463 very interesting.. what does that accomplish though? More specific deviations and bet spreads?
@reyrapada87923 ай бұрын
So you would definitely surrender 8's vs 9, T, A instead of split in surrender / S17 state? I do definitely with my top bets.
@A1-BJ3 ай бұрын
I did not say that. I said if you're an advanced player and you know the deviation rules for surrendering 8s and the true counts to do them, then by all means do what you've learned. But for the average beginner, just split your 8s!
@reyrapada87923 ай бұрын
@A1-BJ thank you I hope you talk about that deviation rule with 8s in the futures. I appreciate your content 👍

+1 according to BJA's Deviation chart, and they are sponsoring this video.... so, I'm going to use theirs. Which chart do you use?
@robdishjr49123 ай бұрын
Most deviation charts iv seen it happens at a true 1. Atkeast on blackjack apprenticeship it does. That's the chart I use
@emmanuelvacakis44633 ай бұрын
@@robdishjr4912 my count is different from the plus minus count, so my deviations are not the same either. My count is more effect than plus minus. Plus minus treats to 2 and the 5 as equals when the 5 is much worse. It’s the worst card in the deck because it converts all stiffs to pat hands. It’s the only card in the deck that does this. The player advantage is based on eliminating as many possible combinations of stiff and conversions as possible. The 2 converts 15 and 16, but it doesn’t help 12,13, and 14. A 6 will bust a 16. A 3 converts 14, 15, and 16, but doesn’t help 12 or 13. A 4 doesn’t help 12. Note that a 6 will also help a double down on 11 by converting it to 17. A 5 helps nothing. A 5 helps the dealer more than an Ace helps the player. Remember an Ace converts a 16 to a 17 in the hitting game.
