The way i look at it yes it can be installed using only 3 of the bolts, but i wont be installing it yet because of warranty on the unit.

Non JBL here, i got a 2018 model, i believe the 2020 and up uses a different harness

@ both harnesses have the small white 8 pin plug, in other install videos they directly install the white 8 pin cable into the head unit. I’m going to be following your video 😅, and installing the 8 pin RCA/AUX.

I can’t , they are using 2 different launcher as far as i know.

Oh basically tapping it for power, because the pinout on the android harness is on a different spot.

Oh still great! I love it! I don’t have any issues on it personally. I use it daily, carplay connects very fast, youtube, netflix and spotify works well. Reverse camera works, reverse 360 cam works too.

Just try to adjust the mirror left or right to avoid making contact with the visor

I believe there is no tpms display readout on the 2018, and no module to activate it

Hi sorry for the late reply, the app that you are trying to put into split mode needs to be compatible to be in split mode, and for the music stopping when in reverse there is a adjustment for that in settings

You may not need to do the wire mod on your stock radio, watching some of their install video didn’t mentioned about the wire mod, I just did some tinkering when mine did not power on, and was able to trace it, but before i did the mod I contacted them to get a go signal to do it.

I have the amp on stock stereo. It was all plug and play, no wire mod needed

@yakuzahi i pulled out my glove box and snaked the wire straight down off towards the passenger side. I left the amp for a few weeks on my passenger floor so I could make adjustments. When I got the amp settings how I like them there is a small panel that pops out on the passenger side towards the front of the center console. Kind off if you were sitting in the passenger seat right where your left foot would rest against. Anyways behind that small panel there's a perfect size area for this amp. There's a computer already there you will see but this amp fits and can sit right on top of it. Anyways that's how I set mine up. 👍

I don’t know, i haven’t heard about that brand, but as for the t12v2 I am very satisfied with it.and it makes the infotainment look on the 4runner updated.

@csjr9 awesome! I really like it! Compared to my older android headunit on my rav4 and c-hr from different brands, the one from car trim home connects to carplay quickly and automatic.

Phone calls are normal, same as stock, i never had mic or call issues on all of my android headunit
