I prefer the IS350 because I am used to it. For the 250? It's fast if you're coming from a 4 cylinder Toyota Corolla. Faster for sure, but for me I cannot downgrade because I'm so used to the IS350 speed. Still though...the IS250 is awesome.

I wanted to start this year with some mods, but as they say, the best first mod is maintenance! I love the 2is because of the styling details that are similar to the LFA and also because it is an amazing car. All that with a very affordable cost of ownership is amazing!

@bluecoopermotors5 ай бұрын
I spend most of my time in the highway, so I would say that almost a 100 miles in the city per week. But considering the car you have, yo are going to spend a bit more on gas.

The #1 mod that should be done on any 2IS should be an upgraded set of front lower control arm bushings and #2 being an upgraded rear sway bar soon there after. Easily the 2 most noticeable mods ive done to my 2IS and im full boltons, tune, and full suspension/chassis upgraded
@bluecoopermotors6 ай бұрын
Front bushings is possibly the next thing on the list for my car, still most of the concerns I see people have is with throttle response and power, and this helps a bit to both of those

Hi, thanks for the video! I am coming up to my first year with an IS250 and was researching the ECT PWR mode as it is not specifically in owners my manual? Your video helped so thanks. Planning my first service and MOT and looking forward to another year with this beauty. What a surprise! Was in the market for another BMW 3 series or maybe an Audi but always knew the Lexus was a special brand. Been in a few IS200's and that was impressive enough to make a mark. Can't fault it for driving, reliability, comfort and style. A little beauty made in Japan! Only problem is with rear leg space. Or complete lack of it. Not a problem for me. Starting to research the 350 or even the big saloons. Greetings to you in beautiful Puerto Rico, from here in the sunny South of the UK. Adios y feliz navidad!!
@bluecoopermotors6 ай бұрын
If you haven’t seen my video about the ECT PWR mode, I explained a bit about it there, it is basically a sport mode for the car. It truly is an amazing car in every sense, only lacking in rear leg space😂. On your search for a bigger saloon I would recommend the Lexus ES, it is not as sportsy feeling as the IS but it definitely has more space. If you are looking for an Euro like BMW, Audi or Mercedes, I would say the Mercedes E class is a really good choice! Goodbye and merry Christmas to you too!

Very helpful, enjoyed your video and the humor. I just bought a 2011 IS250 used car from Japan. I can't give a detail comment yet because it's fairly new to me but I love how smooth the ride is compared to my Rav 4 2010 model. Another reason is that our sealed roads are not that smooth so it's a good feel not to feel every little bump. Sound system in the car is good but it may have been upgraded by the previous owner, the only issue is that I can't change the sound system without messing up the configs because it's in Japanese language so that's a bummer... It has a aux connection which compensates. I just got my car washed and tyre polished as well and drove out and a rain storm came so yeah....tropical weather woes. :) Commenting from Papua New Guinea.
@bluecoopermotors6 ай бұрын
Hey, an actual JDM Is250 is really cool! Roads here aren’t that good either, but the car’s suspension really compensates for it. For your issue with the sound system I could recommend swapping the infotainment system, there are a lot of aftermarket radios for this car with some really nice features and good price too! I have kept my original radio because of the dvd feature, so if you like that too you could get an oem one that has your preferred language on it. I hope you can really enjoy your car!

How is the IS 220 d?
@bluecoopermotors6 ай бұрын
I don’t know much about those, they never came to where I live in, but what I know is that they are less sportsier than the is250 and the is350. Still most of the other features on it must be the same as the other 2 is’s
I've been loyal to Acura and honda for over 20 years... I finally switched up last week and bought a 07 is250 instead of an 08 TL ... I'm satisfied for sure but my biggest gripe is the rear seat space, it's hideous, they might as well shortened the wheel base a tad and made it a 2 seater
@bluecoopermotors6 ай бұрын
Yeah, rear seat space is not that good on the car, but I barely use it so I noticed thanks to people pointing it out in my videos😂
