I think lot of his fans are comforting themselves with believing some happy ending was there for Layne after all, maybe in some parallel reality. I personally believe that time is not a straight line, but maybe like a circle or space. I believe that in parallel realities it is then possible to live what was not possible in this one. Like being happy, healthy with loved ones who we could not be with here, doing things that were not possible here. I believe that there is a place where everything is okay. And maybe Layne is there right now, doing everything he loved so much without sadness and suffering. ♥

Cobain/Nirvana didn't stick around long enough to eventually suck. They would have disappeared with the rest of the bands in that genre.

If this is true, its of course a bigger operation than just some guy doing this by himself. It would be Intelligence agency stuff to deliberately deceive the masses. Also, "Rivers" kind of makes one think of the phoenix.. you know the bird that is born again.. so the word play is there to. If this is how it is, I'm going to call it, we possibly in satans little season. hehe

Ian’s medication made it physically impossible to be sexually unfaithful to his wife. And in retrospect, he could have loved two people at once. Counting his daughter, perhaps it was three. Is that a sin?

Getting sober does not automatically equal happiness. Whatever was there before is STILL there, hiding under the bed n in every dark corner. Til we get to what makes each individual want to escape in the first place, we'll forever just be cleaning up the mess.

For some this world will never be right for them and they know it and those closest to them can feel it. I know this because of my best friend who died from addiction and I always begged him and talked to him I did everything at the time except for this one thing.. understand why.. He told me many times that this world was just not right for him and he wanted to move on but I was too selfish in my need for him to remain in my life that I didn't see that he wasn't right in life period. It's been 21 years ago and I understand now. Some people have to stop in for a brief moment and then leave again but it's what they leave us with that matters the most and Layne left us all with some of the greatest music ever and we should always cherish it and pass it down to the generations to come so they can know what greatness sounds like. In the 52 years that I've lived so far one thing I know is that there are those who out live others until others out live us and all us who out live the ones we love or the ones who have left their mark on our lives have to accept that and hold onto the gifts they've left for us to carry and when it's our time then we hand those gifts to those we love and take our place in the afterlife.

Fellow Washingtonian Recovering Heroin smoker and Fentynal addict here... I Have a feeling Mike might have been there when Layne OD"d and couldn't live with it and lying about his last time seeing him are him alive.... Just my opinion being that I've been in drug dens and know how addicts act together... Anyway Layne Staleys mom is great at emailing people back whom want to share stories with her about her son... If you want the email comment here. God Bless and Long Live Layne Staley and Drugs Won't fill the hole only God can... I've been there.

@@AdamTheGentile I always thought that too. Mike claimed on celebrity detox that he left and said high on benzos in his mom's basement for 2 weeks. I think he saw Layne OD and maybe even stole some drugs and money and hid until Layne's body was found and it was an OD. The guilt ate him alive. Or not

So unnecessary. It’s absolute B.S. that he was fired for doing what EVERYONE was doing! That night DID kill him. He was never the same again, he was ripped apart. All the meaning in his life was ripped away. His integrity was ripped away. I feel like the executives made an example of him. And I don’t exactly what happened but, why didn’t they FIGHT TO KEEP MIKE!

Yeah, I don't think layne was gonna be here too long either way. He found his home and that's where he was gonna plant his flag. Some see that and do not want to come back. Everything seems boring. Not that it's right but it was his way.

Weeeeeeell.....i teach guitar in Newcastle, Australia (2 hrs North of Sydney, up the coast - home of Silverchair); i never really knew about this band until kids aged 14 to 17 (in 2024) started turning up playing bad versions of head in the ceiling fan. If random typical teens are turning up in coastal Australia wanting to learn this tune - then tiktok is making millionaires outta this band.

It’s kind of funny I never heard of them until around 2024. As soon as I heard it pop up on Spotify it blew my mind and it immediately took me back to 1993 or 94. Totally reminded me of bands I used to see in small clubs. New York had a really big scene of kind of like Noise art rock. And those bands would always travel through town. Babe the blue box barkmarket, brainiac, table (spindrift), sunbrain, Casper Brotzman massacre, carbon,

What inspired Billy Corgan to turn into Uncle Fester tho? I was born in 82, came up when this music was being made- so I can say what I want lol- I can play and sing almost every Pumpkins songs- just saying, what tf happened to Billy??? Everybody always talks about his mental state. Most artists are going through it- I mean, look at VanGouh, Cobain, Lane, Bradley, John Fruschante- some aren't with us, some are- and continue to make great music- some went out in a terrible way and never dealt with their problems. Billy is still alive- so obviously, his depression wasnt as bad as others. But, get help, get over it- you have enough money to pay for just about any kinda help yoy think you need.
