Please read Romans 7 and see Paul's victory is Christ, who conquered sin for us and gave us a new heart that desires holiness and hates our sin. Read that it is God who will complete the good work he began in us. Read that it is God who causes us to will and do of his good pleasure. Read that God himself will present us blameless before his throne with exceeding great JOY. Read that Jesus became sin for us and paid our penalty to set us free to be reconciled back to God and set us free from the power of sin. We sin at times because we have a sin nature but we are no longer slaves to sin. If we could become sin free Christ died for nothing. With our new nature we obey God but we don't always walk in the Spirit. Rejoice in Jesus's love that set us free to choose to love and obey God. Rejoice that we are seated now in heavenly places with Christ. Read John 17 and rejoice in Jesus's prayer that we would know God and know that he loves us as he loves Jesus. Knowing his love helps us fight the good fight, run the race and enJOY Father's love now and for eternity.

I have singled Dr John Piper out for criticism. Why? Because Piper is a total, thorough hypocrite the likes of which I have never before witnessed. Never before has a man so closely identified with the pro life movement been responsible for so many deaths. When I attended Piper’s church I was mesmerized by the most powerful, the most inciting prolife sermons I’d ever heard. Now I realize what an utter and complete fraud Dr John Piper is. Does he think that abortion is murder? Oh yes! Is it important to stand against it? Oh yes! But only if you don’t have to vote for a sinner to end it. When John Piper said being against Trump is more important than life and freedom, for me, he crossed a line, the biggest, thickest line that could ever be. Why don’t I focus my ire on those who are known to be pro choice? Because they are known, and therefore they do not deceive Christians. Dr John Piper, on the other hand, deceives Christians en masse. He is a wolf in sheep’s clothing, clothing that is near-perfect in its ability to beguile. The fact that John Piper is willing to sacrifice millions of children to achieve such ephemeral a goal as the defeat of a single man is an egregious crime against a thrice holy God. For those of you who would claim I shouldn’t say anything against this man, I’d ask you to put yourself in the position of a child in the womb. Would you want someone to scream as loudly as they could in your defense? Or would you prefer the church to be winsome and “loving” as your throat is sliced?

I agree with John Piper. The Christian life is WAR everyday!!! The first time I heard Dr. John Piper preach a sermon about the Christian life is war, I began to understand that life is not going to be a picnic in the park everyday and it helped me tremendously!!
