Who's the retard who put the quick-release fitting on the GAUGE SIDE? That should be on the adaptor side, so you can just screw in all your adapters and then quick-release from one to the next. Even on a one-cylinder engine it would save all that round and round just to screw on the hose.

Thanks for sharing your mistakes and technic. The first time I did a bead with a blaster it sealed right away. My ultimate confidence made me think I can do this as a side gig. So far so good.

Helpful video, I am not sure if you mentioned the use case either repair or remodel. We are working with one or more outlets on an already installed DVW saves a load of time and cost by avoiding removing subfloor or wall to make repair or pick up with the remodel piping. There is also the used case you touched on where it gets you out of a jamb, either letting you finish job within same day or saving trip back to shop or hardware store. I think saving price of the fitting is the lowest priority unless it’s a DIY project where your time somehow is free :-).

Oh the memories. I tried to mount these EXACT Hummer H1 tires on 12" wide aluminum 16.5 wheels. These tires need a narrow wheel, then they mount real nicely. My experience was a total fail mounting the 5 tires I had, so I took it to Les Schwab. It took 2 of those kicker tanks and 3 tire guys to mount each tire, but they got it done. So what happens when you lose air pressure, or air down for sand? Yep. they fall right off the bead. And with the sidewalls as stiff as they are, no amount of starting fluid sprayed into the tire will seat that bead on the trail. Great tire, just use a narrow wheel!

Tbh first time seeing this tool, I always hire someone to do my tires, have a licensed mechanic doing mine today and he is having a hard time beading the tire, he is doing this at home for extra income, he messaged me and said he is going to ask to borrow someone’s tire beader so I had to KZbin it to see what it was lol.

Hmm. I've got 2 slow leaks on my drive tires and no noticeable damage to the tires. Even the garage I brought the car to couldn't find any issues. I might have to try this as a buddy of mine told me aluminum rims tend to have this issue. If I'm going to have to replace the tires anyway, I might give this a shot first. I wish I knew more about cars. I'm a computer nerd.
@John-d5i8v
@John-d5i8v 7 ай бұрын
Aluminum rims tend to corrode easier than metal/black rims. Usually by the wheel weight is for balancing the tire. Easiest way to diagnose a rim leak is to spray soapy water on the rim when it’s aired up and on the car. Just look for the bubbles. Check inside and out of rim. You can also spray the whole tire as well to check for any nails that may be puncturing the tire or anything like that. Just look for foamy bubbles… bubble means ya got a leak.
@John-d5i8v
@John-d5i8v 7 ай бұрын
Also I wouldn’t replace tires for a rim leak as it’s not the tire. I used to work at Conrad’s back in the day and they will sell people like you 4 pairs of tires in a heartbeat when they know dam well it’s the rim that needs cleaned up and bead sealer applied. Can of bead sealer is 15$ or pay 500$+ for tires you didn’t need. I ain’t a pc nerd but I know I could buy some shit with 500$+
