It's nice to see Eric isn't a sentimental man and isn't above ab/using his winner status for good in this one short day and making them do Wicked. You can tell why he's popular, just dancing through life. Thank goodness, but I guess he should be careful and ask himself, what is this feeling? Because no one mourns the wicked and no good deed goes unpunished so we'll see what Cody does with his status next year.

This wasn't exactly a retcon since Moustapha Akkad didn't want Michael to have a definitive death. H20 was purposefully written to end in a way that could ensure Michael returning in the future. In fact, the reveal that Michael was alive was filmed right after his 'death' but Jamie Lee Curtis didn't want those shots included in H20 so people can believe she killed Michael for a few years.
