canoed thru that spot about 15 years ago (actually spent the night atop the hill overlooking the dam) and always wanted to get back there to fish the area, but have yet to do it; after seeing this video will try and get back there next summer

There is no live bait fishing ANYWHERE On the Colorado River in Arizona unless you are below the Arizona California line. If you are above the Glen Canyon dam you are in Utah. Some limited bait regulation fishing is occasionally offered in the Little Colorado. You are fishing below Glen Canyon not in the Grand Canyon as your video header states. But hey thats not legal either. You have posted a video showing you violated Az rules. Likely you were unaware. Take this down before someone else following you gets your citation. In your other videos you are careful about the regs. You blew it here. . Ok you are a newbie and those posting here are likely locals like me and we keep our boats and tackle and don’t get cited. Your video shows you in Arizona using bait on the Colorado. Bad juju.

@@theu.s.ofangling1344 not that spot if is below the Glen canyon Dam at lake Powell. Any place above the Arizona California border on the Colorado is closed to bait fishing. And your video clip says Grand Canyon not Glen Canyon and you put it there. Dude. You haven’t got that many hits and you are doing something illegal in the video. I confirmed this afternoon with Az Wildlife. I have only fished there since 1979 and you show up with a bobber and a worm fishing illegally as you stated in your reply below Glen Canyon Dam. It’s been decades since it’s been legal to hike down and fish below the Glen Canyon Dam with worms. Nowhere below the dam to the California border is it legal.

You’re supposed to take the plastic off the cork on your rod. It kinda defeats the purpose of the feel of the cork when you leave the plastic on it😂
