How far do you think it is now you've had a crack at it? Re abs - I've never run as far as you (yet!), I top out at about 22km so this may or may not be what you need. Here's what works for me. My go-to ab exercise is leg raises - does the full length of the central ab muscles plus the connectors between the abs and quads (hip flexors?). I'm up to 3 x 25, possibly could go more (unweighted but I suppose in a gym there'd be a way of adding weight.) I also do Russian twists (weighted) and side-planks with and without leg raise.
@ChasingFeatsXtraАй бұрын
@@christopherl1864 Great stuff! I must admit I have not been doing enough of the core and strength exercises so I will get back on it and see how it goes. I always do my exercises at home - I face I’ve never stepped inside a gym ever! But I got weights and bands. I think we are looking at 55-60k to cover the entire QECP trail paths 😅😅. I will get it done and make a nice video about it I think 💪💪

@@ChasingFeatsXtra Haha, no I've never darkened the door of a gym and never will! I get by at home with my Pilates mat and recent dumbbells addition! I always plan a really ambitious training week and end up rarely doing it all, but try to mentally keep track what I did last and make sure I cycle through the legs, core and upper body. But I always prioritise the running if something has to give!

That park looks massive! Not sure about that lower ab issue. Maybe it's just the weakest link so it tires before everything else, and it will get stronger over time just by running and recovering.
@ChasingFeatsXtraАй бұрын
Definitely got to get it stronger. I did have a major surgery a very long time ago and was maybe wondering if that has something to do with it and the tendons or something were weak because of it, but not sure. Will sort it out and it won't stop me. QECP is a lot bigger then I keep thinking! A very good place to do the bench challenge as well which I was thinking about while I was there! Will keep that in mind as well.
