I hate out & backs! 😂. Something dreading about knowing you have to come back the same way. The discipline to not change course on some fresh new track you haven’t been down 😅😅. Still we got it done and we got it done because I’m training the mind as well as the body.
Pure South Downs Way this one! Straight to the Cadence Cafe - not quite Cocking but close. A 25k there and back through QECP then nothing but the insanely difficult South Downs Way - with its rocks and stones that completely wreaked my ankles.
Other than that feel the best I’ve felt after finishing that type of distance! It was slow pace but that was an objective I set out to stick by throughout.
Home made hydration worked a treat - check the videos for details on that! Drinking some of my calories - don’t think that’s correct and ‘by the book’ but it freaking worked for me?! Also I think I chucked the book out a long time ago 😂. I also had donuts 🍩 and sausage rolls 🌭.
